  1. A few more miles south and you would have been in Utah. Come back in when it's warm and I'll introduce you to American Fork Canyon and some other beautiful mountains. Kinarfi
  2. added a few more of quigs photos to his album
  3. Not sure, well pretty sure, the fan runs full speed all the time. It runs during the start up and once the engine is running, it runs. Only has one speed. go to parts and piece and find the schematic and download it. Kinarfi
  4. Not sure where he wanted them so I put them here. Look good Quig. Kinarfi
  5. I see that & agree, I'll be posting some photos in a while that may get me harassed or nick named Mr. Clean, I'll delete this later if it doesn't stir up something. Kinarfi
  6. Sounds like a good idea and probably the easy route. I was going to start a help kinarfi buy new equip page because I'm so destitute that I thought everyone would want to send me money, but when my wife fell down and hurt her self while laugh at me, I decided not to, didn't want anyone else hurt. Would you like to be my first contributor? Kinarfi
  7. Went to the dunes the other day and had a few hard slams into the dunes and on a few other rides I ended up sitting on one front wheel and the other side rear wheel. I was looking at my rig from the rear and it looked like the right wheel was leaning in, so I took the wheel off, undid the spindle and axle and put a long pipe through the trailing arm where the axle comes through and pried on it until I bent the pipe,1 1/4", then I jacked the Trooper up as high as I could, put the pipe through again and blocked the pipe up under the Trooper with some wood and let the jack down and pushed down on the other end until I bent the pipe again. I put every thing back together again and the wheel looked a lot better for being straight up and down. I did notice that the round tube just inside the lower spindle mount was now dented. What is the easiest way to strengthen the swing arm? Kinarfi Sorry, no pics
  8. I run 8 pounds in the front and 10 in the back. My tires are General Grabber AT2 27x8.50 R14 95Q 6PR OWL http://ssl.delti.com.../GRABBERAT2.jpg The side walls bulge just a little and I don't change them for sand or rocks, I think they're great! A lot softer than when I was running them at 30, hard as a rock, remember, we don't weigh very much. Check parts and pieces if you want to know what we weigh. Kinarfi
  9. Find out if it's the pump or the wiring first, put a test light across the pump terminals, or run a wire from hot to + side of pump, check your relays, it's a good thing to unplug and plug back in each relay and look at the prongs for discoloration or heat. Look at the fuses too. by pulling and replugging the relays and fuses, you get better contact by the seating action. Yes to the standard high pressure pump, the book says 50 # or so. If you need a manual or other info read parts, pieces and info at the beginning of this forum. Kinarfi please fill out you profile so we can all get to know you better.
  10. really wet dust. come on up & I'll introduce you to the stuff, I'll even take you up to show the really cold white stuff that wets the dust. If you'll pay postage, I still have some of wet dust in my driveway and can mail it to you for your enjoyment. No name, don't want you know who I am
  11. Troopers make a very poor substitute for snow mobiles. Went for a ride and got stuck, got muddy, but the mud was very wet & didn't stick too bad, started at Mt. Pleasant & went up to Skyline Drive, got cold too, so we left and went Thistle and went up Lake Creek for another ride, this time the mud was a lot stickier. Good ride, just lots of clean up. http://community.webshots.com/album/578963557gEzKDF Kinarfi
  12. Got the retractable sun screen done for the most part, Now all I have to do is find someone to help me sell it When my wife I go for a ride in my Yukon, I can never see what's up above us on her side. When we started going in the Trooper, it was so nice to be able to look up, but I messed that up with a top cover/sun screen, now I can have which ever I want most. The fabric is off my airplane and has rib pockets sewn into it which I can put stiffener in, but it may leak in the rain, we'll see. Because it is quite flexible, at speed, the back kind of bulges up with the wind, no big deal. So far, I like it. Kinarfi
  13. Hi Stevozz, Welcome to the forum, it's good place for information. Please fill out you profile so we can all get to know you a little better. Who knows maybe one of live just around the corner from you. Sending you a PM, click on the down arrow next to the sign out Kinarfi
  14. Seems that's all I do, But then I don't have too many other things to do and I don't do them very fast. Different set up on the dash front cover, new fenders, new skid plate, some dirt shields to keep the sand, dirt, dust, and hopefully the weeds from blowing down the drive line tunnel. Because my power steering unit has a really really high gain amplifier in it, I have found that any plug & receptacle in the line causes problems, so it's a straight line and soldered connections. Here's the first of 20, Enjoy I write on a lot of my pictures, to explain what the pict is about. Working on a new top cover that's retractable. Then maybe a heater, then maybe a windshield, then maybe some doors, Maybe I'll even fix my smoking engine. kinarfi
  15. Got tired of seeing JMC Sucks, It's a matter of opinion, and I think we're more interest it the come back of the Joyner vehicle, so I'm starting this topic so we can get good info and great news. Didn't close the other topic in case some one still wants to rag on JMC. Wonder what/who we will be dealing with next. Best wishes New Sheriff. Kinarfi
  16. Pleasant Grove, North of Provo, South of Salt Lake, in Utah County. One of my favorite places is up around Currant Creek Reservoir, near Strawberry Reservoir. Kinarfi
  17. Got mine in June 08, new, and at the last fill that I wrote down mileage, it was 4818.2km on 7/24/10, Probably close to 5000 by now, I'll look tomorrow. Better get off that bike and get riding man, or maybe your working on it too much. No such thing, working on it is nearly as much fun as driving, driving's just easier. And oh yea, we're pretty sure you're spoiled. But were envious. Quig, if you ever get down this way, give me a call and I'll take you or go with you up to some of my favorite spots. Kinarfi
  18. Just some info that I got when I called JMC this morning, talked to Stephanie and asked a few questions. My main concern was that the website, http://www.jmcmotors.us/ doesn't show any Joyner Vehicles. She said that their conversations with the Joyner Manufacturer aren't doing real well, but they are still trying and that orders that come from them seem to be what ever they want to send. The vehicles they have are from HSun. If any one has some good news about Joyner, I'd like to hear it, even if it's just a PM. Kinarfi Hey Gman, It's not fair to say "new sheriff" and not explain, Plus you need to fill out you profile so we can all get to know you better and where you are so that if you're just hollering fire in a crowded theater to watch the ensuing stampede, we can come tar and feather you.
  19. Well just about every thing that Trooper does, good or bad, has been mentioned on this forum and we're all here to add our comments, so sit back, put your feet up and read. The Trooper has it's faults, but, INHO, there's no other vehicle like it, lots similar, but it depends on what you like. I like the 4 cylinders and the standard tranny, the seating, the layout, it just seem to work well for my conditions. Kinarfi
  20. Sounds like you're talking belleville springs or washers
  21. While I was out at the dunes on a long ride, for sand any way, I had to keep the RPMs up around 4000+ for most of the hills and after about an hour or so, I lost the ability to idle, every time I took my foot off the peddle, it died, without hesitation. It would start right back up, but die if I didn't keep it revved up. This has happened before too. It finally dawned on me to turn the key all the way off, wait a moment and then restart, that fixed it. Seems to me that the computer had lost track of where the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) was and needed to reset itself by being turning it off and then back on. Just a little weirdness that I thought I'd share. Kinarfi
  22. Hi Alex, Welcome to the forum and thanks for the compliment. A little more info on the steering assist, only Lenny and I have it, as we built them together. I have it on mine and it's working good to great. Lenny's has been changed extensively. After a fair amount of liability consideration, we decided against putting it out. If I thought that I might have a market for a couple hundred, I could see setting up a limited liability corp., but I don't think I could sell but 25 or so, maybe Silver bullet or Snowman will pick it up, (hint, hint) . I just got back from 3 days at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes near Delta, Utah, and had my Trooper in 4 X 4 most the time and with both lockers engaged some of the time and it did real good. I surprised a bunch of quad riders as to how well I could get around in the sand, but still not as well as they did and I did get stuck twice by high centering, once when I backed out of the throttle at the top of a ridge and once when I didn't make a hill and backed onto a sage brush that was covered with sand. If you have a bunch photos to post, PM me and I'll point you to Web Shots, http://community.webshots.com/user/TrooperFolk, You can create your own album and put all the photos you want in it including videos. Again, Welcome to the forum, we'll all be looking forward to your participation, and as others said, please fill out your profile so we can all get to know you better. Kinarfi
  23. Super Super Double Dupper??? Mod. If you play golf, Duffer would work. The left one is yours. Most universals that I googled go from 33 to 240, but the two links at the bottom would work. I'd use the first one and limit it's travel so you get the 110 ohms when empty. If you have too much resistance the needle will just hit the empty pin before your empty, if you don't have enough resistance, you never show empty unless you paint it on the glass face. If it doesn't go to 0 ohms, you don't show full, you can live with that, it's being empty that we care most about. http://www.jegs.com/i/VDO/918/226002/10002/-1 http://www.jegs.com/i/VDO/918/226008/10002/-1 Kinarfi, The Super Duper Moderator!!!
  24. Makes sense, CV joints need lots of grease, guess I better take a look tomorrow, since I need to change all oils anyway, engine, diffs & tranny.
  25. Finished my fuel sender probe and circuit and adjusted it, may need some more tweaking, but it's good for now. I emptied the tank, took photo, added 1/2 gallon, took photo, added 1/2 gallon, took photo, ....... until full. It got full sooner than I expected. I was expecting to put 10 or 11 gallons in, but at about 7 3/4, it started over flowing, so I looked up the specs and the book says 30 Liters, = 7.92 gallons. Here's a link to the first of a bunch photos, the first 3 are of the probe prior to putting connectors on. Here's the link to pictures of gauge after adding gas, 1/2 gallon at a time. The name of the photo is how many 1/2 gallons are in the tank. Now, to perfect my cruise/engine speed controller. Kinarfi
