  1. 2019 Coleman 550 was fouling plugs really fast, but I went to 93 octane and it started fouling them every 100 miles. I went to a hotter plug and I noticed milky oil before I could see if it helped any
  2. I've never seen the temperature go high on this thing. the fan runs almost all the time even though the sensor is reading at the very bottom of it's range. ive taken the cylinder head off. (nothing definitive but maybe a little fuel on top of piston with oil in it.i don't think this has anything to do with my problem )head gasket is 3 layers deep and I noticed some grit that might have been in between layers but nothing to say the head gasket wasn't intact. black carbon build up on piston. I've looked all over the head for cracks from over heating. I'm about to look again for hairline cracks that are extremely difficult to see. my buddy helping me said to order rings in case they are letting oil pass thru he also said get a new head gasket.. I'm looking at water in oil first and I'm not ordering rings. I haven't checked the oil cooler to see if it's defective yet. I'm just hoping someone had a similar problem. my only problem so far has been having to change the spark plug every 100 miles with 93 octane run thru it.
  3. U r probably right now that I think about it. My father bought it at a discount at tractor supply. It wouldn’t start and I think mice had been chewing on the wires. Maybe they changed the display if it wouldn’t work after some chewing? It also had a damaged connector at the temp sensor going in the engine or I wouldn’t have cracked a head. I’m assuming it’s cracked with the oil full of coolant I think def full(milky & doesn’t burn when it comes out). I found silicone on the connector and I never got it over 2 notches on the display. I was wondering how I cracked a head with no over heating and i remembered I didn’t get both sides of the damaged connector and forgot about it. That’s how I f’d it up
  4. Ok so I can’t get an adapter for my two cheap code readers? im assuming an adapter that is 4 pins and fits the plug in next to the fuse box may work. But if it can’t read the code from the Delphi based deal you described then it would be useless. I think it’s some kind of motorcycle brand based adapter like Yamaha or Harley. It’s just a cheap enough solution that I may try it before I spend 300$. Maybe you already know what you’re talking about. I sure don’t know much in this & many other areas. If I did my UTV would be running and not such a terrible disappointment
  5. I know that I shouldn’t need 93 octane because I read what type of gasoline to put in it in the hisun maintenance manual. I appreciate the answer about the numbers I’m seeing at start up. I’m assuming it’s a 550 because 4 people and a 15 miles trip may have cracked a head. The plug in for the temperature sensor was siliconed when I purchased it & it never showed that it was hot but there is definitely too much liquid in the oil. Milky over full & wouldn’t burn when changed. I changed it & my daughter drove it a few miles & it was milky again and barely over full. The number I think on the plug is an 8 I installed a 7 but I haven’t been running it due to cracked head or head gasket. Thanx I thought those numbers meant I needed a new computer. 700 means my display or computer might have come from a 700. What does -7 mean? I might adjust the idle but it is close to correct. It will almost idle now on 93 octane and I didn’t think it had enough grounds so I added a couple & I can tell it is almost idling like you’d want. The only reason I added grounds is because we bought it & it wouldn’t start due to mice chewing on the wiring harness. I paid to have it fixed. It would have probably been cheaper to get a new harness but the guy that said he could fix it didn’t do it right. So I’ve been working on it here in my 40 x 60 metal building. I’m just about to pull it back in and start taking it apart to replace the head(or less likely with my luck the head gasket) and temp sensor that screws into the top of the engine.
  6. I’ve got a 2019 Coleman 550 made by hisun that flashes a 700-7 code every startup. 100 miles and I have to change the plug on 93 octane gas. any ideas?
  7. I’m getting a 700-7 every startup. I’m having to change the plug every 100 miles on 93 octane gas. I got a lower numbered plug that is supposed to burn hotter. I’m wondering why that comes up every time I start it and if it’s related? I included a picture of the code or whatever it is. I haven’t seen the code in the owners manual or the hisun shop manual I have.
  8. I just posted a video about 4 hours ago about where the diagnostic port might be. Then I was around my fuse box and noticed the apart diagnostic port? Poking thru in the picture I added with this post. My code reader doesn’t fit the plug in I’m seeing so I can’t say for sure it’s the diagnostic port but it looks like 1. Grey upper right in the picture
  9. I just saw a video about the diagnostic port. Mine is a 2019 Coleman and he’s doing a hisun in the video but it looks like on the drivers side of the engine there is a connector. It isn’t connected to anything. The wires just lead to the connector and instead of say linking to another set of wires, this just stops. It has a plastic cover on it and you will need the hisun adapter. My Coleman 2019 550 shows a funny code every start up so I got a diagnostic tool. I never thought it would need an adapter for the jeep grand Cherokee in the driveway and a separate adapter for the Coleman UTV.
  10. I have a 2019 Coleman 550. I haven’t went over 100 miles before I fouled a plug. I started using 93 octane and I added some grounds to the electrical system. It idles a little better but I buy plugs3 at a time.
