I bought a used 1140CPX at an auction. It was listed a INOP and when it arrived it was. It runs like a top now and I’m trying to correct the next thing on the list: Lights. Somewhere along the line, the headlight switch wiring connector was snipped off. I only have a wire bundle leading to the hole where the headlight switch should be. I bought a new switch and plan to just solder the wires in permanent. The question for the forum: Can someone take a photo of what color wire goes to which pin? I think that will be much quicker than finding the ground and then figuring out which is which. If I know what to solder to where I’ll be able to drive at night again. One last question, what is the best way to add an LED light bar to the front and back and wire it in? Thanks for the help, Ryan

power distribution Neutrino Element and Aurora
Arboreal Systems posted a topic in New Product Showcase
We're introducing the Neutrino Element and Aurora power distribution and control system to the UTV community. This product has had great success in the motorcycle and most recently the Slingshot community, so maybe it's time to introduce it to the UTV world. Neutrino is a state of the art electrical power distribution and control system that can power up to 6 circuits with a maximum of 60 amps. What's cool about Neutrino is that instead of having to run wires and locate switches in the cockpit Neutrino controls everything with a user friendly smart phone interface connected via Bluetooth. Neutrino is super small (3" x 2" x .9"), waterproof, shockproof and is even made in the USA. Neutrino is patent pending and offers a huge array of features ranging from programmable, self-resetting circuit breakers to remote diagnostics on your phone to monitoring your entire electrical system. It even includes automatic shut down both for individual circuits and for the whole system. With Neutrino you can control your garage door and any servo devices from within the free Android and iOS apps. All circuits are configurable on the fly to be either switched or variable, with lots of other options available. Element is the base model that includes tons of capability and Aurora is the higher end model that adds things like headlight modulation, deceleration-based brake light activation, and the ability to automatically control circuits based on speed, temperature, sunset time, etc. Element sells for $249.99 and Aurora for $349.99. Element is upgradeable to Aurora at a later date for $100. For more information please check out our website at www.neutrinoblackbox.com or email us at [email protected] thanks! Dan -
Hi all, I'm running into a strange problem with the chassis electrical on my Trooper. I had someone push me off a rock pile I was high centered on and they smashed a few of my taillights. I didn't think much of it at the time as taillights are easy to replace, but the next morning I couldn't turn on my headlights or spotlights, my wench motor wouldn't respond to the in/out switch, and the 4x4 switch won't take me out of 4 wheel. Looking at the Trooper wiring schematic, I can see that all these switches are on the same ING1 circuit so I'm concluding it is some type of electrical issue. I've completely disconnected the rear lights to rule out any type of shorts or anything there, replaced and verified all the fuses in the passenger seat fuse box with a test lamp. Verified the line continuity from wench, head lights, and 4x4 connectors. So Im kinda stuck at this point. I'm going to go ahead and test all the relays in the passenger side fuse box, but none of those are listed in the manual with having anything to do with 4x4 or the wench so I don't think they will be the solution. I do see there is a "capstan relay" listed in the wiring schematics on that circuit, but I have no idea where that is (or really what it is, I know a capstan on a boat is kind of a wench so kind of assuming is a translation thing) on the chassis. I do see something that looks like a rectifier mounted directly behind the wench but not sure what that is either. Which brings me to me last point, I have had malfunctioning rectifier do weird things on other cars so I'm kind of wondering if this might be the case here as well, but I'm not finding anything called a rectifier in the manual. Any one have an idea where it might be on the chassis so I can test it? TIA everyone... hoping someone might have some insight!
