  1. For the life of me I cannot find the directions on how to change the display to the standard for the USA - MPH. Not sure why Tractor Supply didn't do it before I bought it but it is what it is. Does anyone have the instructions to do this. I have the 2023 T Boss 550 just to be clear.
  2. Massimo 500 will only crank when I jump solenoid with screwdriver cranks right up and runs great. But won’t start with key doesn’t do anything when I turn the key. Only thing it does is power everything as in dash and fuel pump then have to jump solenoid to crank up and drive.
  3. At 185 hours while do a little riding noticed using a little more fuel that the trip should have taken and running a little rough. Thought it might be time to clean the air filter. I while back, I bought a filter kit for another sxs I had but never installed. I was going to do the snorkel thing. Anyway, while I was as cleaning the air filter for the Axis 500. I mocked up this filter kit and wanted to know if anyone could give a reason why this wouldn't work. I plan on removing the air box completely. Moving the PCV valve hose to the side of the large hose going to the throttle body instead of the way it is now. Now it connects to the air box. There is already a hole in that hose and it just has a 90° fitting on it and then a plug. Then route some pipe thru the tunnel that the front drive shaft uses. Then up under the hood and mount the new filter there. I even bought a hood scoop to use. See pics below. Here is the way it is from the factory. Notice the hose plugged into the top of the air box. That is for the PCV valve. It provides suction for the crankcase to keep from blowing seals. You can't see in the pic, but there is a hose that connects to the crank case. That hose connects to a box with 2 hoses coming off. One of those hoses goes down to under the sxs to let any oil that is sucked up drip on the ground. The other hose connects to the air box. Here is the passenger side of the air box. Notice the 90° nipple on the large hose running between the air box and the throttle body. Here is a pic of the kit I got off Amazon. Here are some pics with the air box removed, PCV hose relocated, and the hose coming up into the hood area thru the tunnel that the front drive shaft uses. I will probably have to relocate the radiator overflow jug. I know I will probably have to use solid pipe instead of that plastic flex stuff. And will have to keep it clear of the drive shaft. The only issue I see it the air coming in thru the PVC hose is not filtered. It also could cause more suction on the crankcase and cause the sxs to use some oil. Those little square boxes on top to the throttle hose are empty. I may have to connect the PCV hose to that and add a filter in that square box. But other than that. Does anyone know of any reason this shouldn't work? Once I get it installed I can close off the holes in the engine cover that is currently uses by the air box. That will help keep noise and heat out of the cab in the summer.
  4. I can shift into reverse and 'high' gear beautifully, but I can't get the UTV to go into low. I hired a mechanic to change the belt, and clean the clutches. When it came back 'low' gear no longer worked. I tried to change I've tried replacing fan gears https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08V97JZL5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that were worn down, and it shifts better but, didn't fix the low gear problem. I can't shift into low with the engine off either. It indicates that it's in low gear, but I hear what sounds like something spinning in the middle of the UTV. It seems like the mechanic didn't know what he was doing. Never even mentioned it to me that 'Low' didn't work, until I went to use the
  5. Recently acquired a secondhand Massimo Warrior 700, mostly satisfied other than a couple minor issues. Would love to network with knowledge of these machines, parts for sale etc.
  6. I just bought a Buck 450X... right before discovering this board and reading a lot of not-so-good posts. But I hope I'm right when I believe that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and surely there must be plenty of happy Massimo owners out there and I don't need to return my new toy to Lowe's. So... if you own a Massimo and like it, I'd love to hear from you! Please let me know what you like and enjoy about it and if you've had only minor or no issues - compared to other posts I've read. Thanks!
  7. Hi new here. Just bought a Massimo Buck250X for some neighborhood riding. New unit rides great and seems to work fine, except when full throttle for 5 min or more the check engine light comes on. Air filter is fine, and oil is topped off, any ideas? I figure it’s just a sensor issue but I’ve been wrong before.

  9. Buck 450 wireless winch remote control. Opened up the winch relay control box. AS some reported for other models, there's a factory wireless receiver in there, but they won't sell you a remote for it. Easy to replace since it's on quick connects. Disconnect the factory receiver and replace. Amazon has a bunch of very similar units. I replaced it with this ($20) . took 15 minutes. Wiring is the same. This photo is the inside of the winch relay control box located in the passenger side front wheel well. Two screws hold the relay box to the frame. Remove those and just turn the box around. 6 small screws on the back, Open it up, remove the factory receiver. I clipped off the screw tabs on the new receiver just to make it easier to slide into the case. Clipped the new receiver wires and added quick connect lugs. This remote works great from up to 100 feet away. https://www.amazon.com/AUTOUTLET-Recovery-Controller-(Batteries-included)/dp/B07CPRVW6Y/ref=sr_1_1?crid=13OR05GVT51TT&keywords=AUTOUTLET+2PCS+Recovery&qid=1645882829&s=automotive&sprefix=autoutlet+2pcs+recovery%2Cautomotive%2C53&sr=1-1
  10. Massimo recently updated their customer support. I know some of us have had less than Stellar response from Massimo in the past but it looks like they've made a major upgrade and taking a big step forward. I entered a a case on their website you can open a case under your account with a broken part under warranty and was skeptical but I got a call back the next day and the tech had me send a picture of the broken part and they shipped out a new part under warranty same-day
  11. Hey everyone, I have made some modifications since I purchased my Massimo 500 MSU/UTV earlier this year and I thought I would share with you. Please give me some feed-back and let me know what you think of my MODS. Here's the VIDEO:
  12. Will a rhino 660 exhaust system fit a Massimo alligator 700 ?
  13. I have a 2018 Massimo MSU 500. I have looked everywhere for performance parts and all I have been able to find is the dyno bost module and a K&N air filter. does anyone know of any other parts out there or interchangeable parts from other makes or models?
  14. I recently purchased a 2020 Massimo 400 EFI and began installing soundproofing to lower the overall body noise. The model I choose is the crew cab with rear facing seat and diamond plate bed. the first phase involved removing the rear deck and applying Noico 80 mil sound deadening mat over the exposed diamond plate sections of the underside. This immediately removed the sound of vibrating metal plate! Next phase is to continue this application to the interior of the plastic around the engine compartment and then any other plastic panel that has a "hollow" sound. It will add 2-3 pounds to the overall vehicle weight but it makes a huge difference in noise reduction. One question I have - there is a vent directly in front of the engine (behind a drivers leg about calf level) I am strongly thinking about covering this as the level of engine noise here is huge. The engine is water cooled so I don't think this is a problem as the air input is minimal - but i don't wish to overheat the engine. Thoughts?
  15. I just purchased a new 2019 Massimo T-Boss 410 March 2020. I haven't figured out how to unlock the differential? There isn't a switch?
  16. I've looked long and hard and can't find an oil filter. Wondering if there is one. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, live in Canada - we have no Massimo service centers or dealers, only HiSun. Are HiSun and Massimo related?
  17. I have a 2015 Massimo 500 that idles really high and it will not let me shift into gear while it's idling. Not sure where to start. Also it will bog down and stall constantly. Starts right back up everytime. Advice please.
  18. I just got this today and the tires are 26 on 12's. was wondering what id the larges tire I can put with out any lifting? if you have pics that would be nice. thanks
  19. Hi, I just purchased a Massimo MU500 that we are going to use in the North Georgia mountains. After the first couple of test drives it seems a) somewhat underpowered and loud as hell. So wondering if I switched out the mud tires with something with smaller tread if that would maybe help? Also I found a muffler replacement called the “silent rider atv silencer” and wonder if that would help with the noise without killing power. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
