Recently went pt look at a razor for sale. The seller had just washed it,and it started and ran ok,till I took it for a test drive. It quit after about 1/2 mile. Towed it back, can’t get it to restart. Well a friend of mine has the same machine and he said when he washes his it runs crappy till it’s dried out. Then it’s fine no matter if he is out muddying and getting it wet any old time. Wondering if anyone else has this issue with them?

2001 Polaris ranger 6x6 rear wheels not spinning

The middle two tires on 6x6 are spinning. the drive shaft from middle to rear is spinning and the shaft from middle to front is spinning. I have the entire thing jacked up. When I first start it both middle tires will spin and the front two will spin for about 10 seconds. the rear tires do nothing. I can spin the rears wheels both forward or backwards at same time or one forward and one backward and vise versa. Is this normal. Do I have a rear differential broke or is something not engaging the shaft to the gears in the back. Would somebody please tell me how all the drive system works together so I can find something to fix of replace. -
2007 XP, will not start cranks over fine but that's it. Two weeks ago it would start but ran rough, not sure what happened.

I have a 2005 Polaris Ranger 4 x 4, I have all forward gears but I have no reverse. The gear selector is working but after this reverse in not engaging anyone have the same issue and if so how do I go about fixing it?

Ok so I have a Polaris ranger xp 08 I think . I started it up no problem( never had any ) drove it out of the garage about 15 feet and let it idle for about 5 mins . Then it started to sputter , gave it some gas and it stalled out. Tried to start it a couple times but wouldn’t go. I figured gas was low, put some in but same thing . So I got the ether and took the air filter off sprayed it in and it fired right up but would stall out instantly. So I tried it again and gave it some gas but same thing . Next I just sprayed and jus got enough to gas it back into the garage . But then I saw flames coming out of the air intake . Was able to put it out quick ( 10 seconds) just by blowing on it . Before anyone says to much starting fluid I know a little goes a long way . I didn’t hold it down and jus spray , only a quick burst twice before stalling out . But where do I go from here ? Engine not getting enough gas ? But then why was I able to start/drive/ and idle at first ? Now I can’t even get it started . Let me know what you think.

HI new to the forum so this is my first post and problem. So I have a 2005 Ranger 500 6x6 with a carb and do not have any power to the fuel pump. Research has suggested that it could be the pdm but after looking extensively through my machine I cannot find a pdm. I can only find 3 flat black thin boxes under the hood on the passenger side. Are there some ranger 500's without pdm's? I bought this machine new and it has never been messed with. This machine has been in storage for several years and has only 12 hours on it. Thanks, Jeff My Bad just looked at my title and its a 2004 not a 2005 so no PDM or ECM. Wiring is quite different so I need to take another look.

Took it out the other day, it died and engine temp light came on and I heard the gurgling in the radiator. I let it cool for few, got it home in limp mode. fan kicks on but im not sure 40 seconds is long enough and/or if it kicking on all the times when it needs to be. fan relay works id assume or fan would never operate. Took temp sensor wire off and fan does NOT auto kick on like I was told. No debris in front of radiator, its full , correct level on overflow tank. unit has 1,600 miles, iv had if for 6 months and all the sudden I get this issue.

Hey. I recently got a used Polaris Ranger 570, and I’ve noticed if I let off the gas going down a hill, after about 5-10 seconds, it kicks out of gear or free wheels. Is this normal? It’s kind of annoying imo, since you have to hold your brake so much more. Also, is it bad to leave it in 2wd Diff Lock? I have turf mode, but like to keep it in diff lock because I climb some pretty steep hills frequently. Is it bad to engage/disengage diff lock/4wd while moving or in a pull? Thanks

So, im new to UTV's always ridden ATV's typically the Polaris 850's and such and a few Rubicon's. Moved into the county with some land and figured I'd get back into the country mud. I've been doing some research on UTV's and I am impressed, I went to the local pony powersports and sat in a few atvs, being 6ft1 and 360lbs I wanted to make sure I could fit into one of them comfortably before doing my research on which one I wanted. My conclusion was - the Honda Pioneer 1000 limited edition , or the Polaris ranger xp 1000 (would prefer the highlander edition). I was trying to do some research on which one is better, I know they are both leaders in the industry from the research I have done. I'll mostly be driving through creeks taking it to some trails and moving some things here and there (firewood, fallen trees, ect.) the years im considering are 2017,2018 and if there is a big enough change in the model that a 2019 would make more sense then I would do that. Looking to spend 20k ish. Any help on deciding the better of the rangers and pioneers would be appreciated, or if you have another UTV a bigger guy should look into! -
Hello, I just bought a 2004 Polaris ranger TM. It did not come with a lower seat. New seat is $500+. Looking on ebay for a used one and they don't list the Ranger TM model. Does anyone know what different Ranger years and models will fit the ranger TM? Is there a easy way to get a non TM ranger seat to work? Or do I shell out the $500 on a new seat? This is my first UTV. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

How large (watts) of a light bar can I add without upgrading the battery. I see the generator output is 550 watts at 3000 RPM but I do not see the amp hour rating of the battery.

We have been having all kinds of fuel issues with this ranger. When you try to start it when it is cold outside, it does not want to start. It will crank over fine but doesn't start but if you stop and come back 10 minutes later or so, it will start up. But even then, it is idling real bad. Usually will die a few times before you can get going, really have to feather the gas pedal to keep it alive. Once it gets warmed up, it does start better but something still not right. Even when it is warm outside, it will start up but just doesn't idle right. I bought a fuel pump kit, not the whole assembly, just the pump and replaced that and the same thing happens. I am in the process of trying to check the fuel pressure on it but the fuel pressure gauge I got from our local auto parts store seems to be defective. Had it hooked up and can't get the gauge to show any pressure at all yet it will still start up. If it does have the correct pressure, what would be the next place to start looking at? If it doesn't have correct pressure, is there something else on the assembly that would cause low pressure? We checked the voltage on the connecter and one gets 12 volts for just a few seconds and the other one gets 4.9 volts. The other 2 show nothing. I am guessing the one with 4.9 volts is for the fuel gauge sender and the one that has 12 volts is the pump. When you take the fuel line off on the engine side and turn the key on, how far should it throw fuel out? We have taken it to 2 shops and neither one was able to do anything with it, one said there was nothing wrong. Not sure if they really did any checking or what or they just don't know what to do with it. Would the whole fuel pump assembly out of a ranger 570 work with the ranger 800? Would I be able to swap them without any issues? To buy a whole new assembly, it's around $400, don't really want to spend that much not knowing if it will fix it or not.
