Hey I finally found a joyner I could afford lol I just bought a 2008 joyner sand viper 800cc I like it but it needs work that's not the issue me being a mechanic issue is I can't seem to find the parts I need like everything else I've worked on I'm not even sure what would work so I need advice from some one who has been there for now the things I need the most are rear shocks , I need the upper and lower ball joints or Johnny joints whatever they are called and I'm sure this had a fuel pressure regulator before now it just has some random inline pump no filter runs good for 15 mins or so then runs pretty crappy but if I let it sit a bit same thing I know it's going out but I need to know what I can do to sub for the factory pump and what psi requirement it has that's it for now any help would be appreciated

sandviper 2016 Sand viper 1100 front suspension rattle
TmJoyner posted a topic in Joyner UTV SxS Forum
New to the Joyner community. Bought a used 2016 1100 sand viper in descent shape. Only 155 miles. Runs great. It just rattles quite a bit in the front when riding on rough gravel / hard-packed dirt roads outside St Johns. Removed front wheels and seems to be coming from both upper and lower suspension arm bushings/radial bearings (see pic); both left and right. Seems like some play inside the eyelets - as I shake the arms a bit. I assume it's not supposed be loose in there like that and the bushing/bearings are worn. Anyone have had this issue and how did you go about changing them? -
I’m not a mechanic so I don’t really know where to look for the problem and I can’t find a local shop or person to help diagnose the problem. I’m located in Southern California. So my Viper won’t shift into 3rd or 4th but 1st 2nd and reverse work fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello. New to this forum and glad to find it. So i have bought a Joyner sand viper 650, 2008 with low compression. I took the motor out and checked the pistons and the ring gap was to big plus the engine had pinged so the upper part of the piston was bad. So i ordered a new piston set with pistons, rings and pins. But here comes the problem, the new piston has no gap for the c-clip but the old piston had...? Why that? The pin floates perfect in both piston and rod shaft so it can wander away and hit the cylinder walls. Anyone that has come across the same problem? Im not new when it comes to mechanic but has never come across this problem before. Hope you understand what i mean, i tried my best. /Jonas Sweden

Hello Joyner Owners THEY ARE HERE!!! 1100cc, 800cc and 650cc New Cam Shafts. There was a demand to bring them back so we did. They are set up with a slight change in duration, and have more timing in them to bump up that low end torque we all need and are hardcoated to reduce the wear on the cam. These really are the next step or a good start in the build of your engine. For the 800 and 1100 guys, snorkel, fuel controller, cams, pistons...boost.. For the 650 guys, snorkel, cams, pistons, custom carb setup...boost. We have N/A and Forced Induction profiles available. We are currently planning a build on our shop renegade to build an 1100 with the snorkel, new throttle body, super charger, ported and lightly polished heads, oversized pistons, we are looking for oversized valves and better valve springs. Looking to build a beast that is reliable. All of this has been in the works for months, that way we can pass it all on to you. If you have any questions or comments feel free to drop us a line or shoot us over an email.

Hey Everyone, I made the costly mistake of letting a friend of mine drive my 1100 Sand Viper a couple months ago, and ended up with a cracked frame. I was already planning on moving up to something bigger, so this was the tipping point. I'm parting out what I have left. I had converted it to VW power (1915cc), so many parts have been modified to accommodate VW parts and may no longer work on your stock setup. If you're interested in switching over to a VW setup, I most likely have the parts you'll need and can answer questions regarding what was done to accomplish the conversion. I'm located in San Diego. Here's a list of what I have: Suspension King 2.0 Coilovers with remote reservoir (set of 4 with all required hardware) $1500. Details as follows: 12" travel Primary spring rate front = 150 lb/in Secondary spring rate front = 150 lb/in Primary spring rate rear = 300 lb/in Secondary spring rate rear = 300 lb/in Droop = 40% Drivetrain VW 002 IRS Bus Transaxle set up for Type 2 CV's $700 Axles (custom to accommodate VW drivetrain in Joyner) $100 VW EMPI Type 2 CV Joints (2) $50 Wheel and Tires 2 x Swamp Lite Tires (Front, 27x9.00R12) $75 2 x Radial Reptile Tires (Rear, 27x11.00R12) $50 2 x Vision Buckshot Wheels (Rear, 15”x7”, 4/115 4 + 3) $50 Miscellaneous - Starter (VW 002 High Torque) $100 - Full set of Gauges $20 - Fuel Tank (Spun aluminum) $50 - Chassis $50 (cracked where passenger side trailing arm connects to frame) - Boxed Rear Trailing Arms $200 (these are much stronger than the stock trailing arm configuration and have been modified to accommodate the VW drivetrain) - Front Hubs, Rotors, Brake calipers, lines, new pads $50 - Rear Hubs and Rotors (VW) $100 (note that the rear Joyner hub mount assembly had to be machined out to accommodate the VW hubs, and the rotors were drilled for the Joyner lug pattern) - VW Disc Brake Kit for rear wheels $150 - (2) 15 x 7 Wheels $80 (Vision Buckshot Model, 4/115 4 + 3) - Shifter $25 (Bugpack T-shifter) - Steering shaft, wheel $30 - Light bar frame $30 - (2) Seats with Harnesses $50 - Aluminum hood panel $40 Let me know if you’re interested or have any questions.
