  1. Just purchased a 2018 Hisun Sector 250. The gear shift is hard to engage. Tried depressing the brake pedal, no change. Tried with the engine running and turned off, no change. The gear shift cable, from the dash to the trans seems to be grinding. With my hand on the cable I can feel it grinding, vibrating, as the gear shift is moved up or down. Can this cable be removed and greased or does it just need to be replaced?
  2. New to the forum. New to UTVs. New to Electric motors. I just got a 2021 Hisun Sector E to help with moving stuff on my steep 5 acre wooded mountain patch. Plus I thought it would be fun on the gravel roads in the "neighborhood". Because we are remote and part time to the property, I didn't want the hassle of dumping out old gas or messing with oil and filters and all the usual maintenance of a ICE. But the biggest reason for me was the noise. I test drove the Axis utvs at Tractor Supply Co and they were LOUD. Seemed to ride rough too. If you want quiet, then electric is the way to go. But it does come with a high price tag. And all the electric models are still in their infancy. So its a bit of a gamble too. I bought the property for quiet. I wanted to keep it quiet. I liked that the Hisun had the dry cell batteries so there is no maintenance of checking and adding water. I'm a little worried about their lifespan especially after one person's poor utube review about them. But the dealer said the company took that to heart so hopefully changes were made for better batteries. There were no Lithium battery options available anywhere near me. Polaris is supposed to have one later this year. I liked that the Hisun came standard with roof, windshield, winch and trailer hitch. I have had the sector for only one day and worked it and road it good. So far I have a big smile on my face. I wish there was a category for this model on the forum here. Meanwhile, maybe folks will share their insights/ experiences on this thread. I'd like to learn as much about the sector e as I can. There isn't much info in the owners manual.
  3. Hi, I have a brand new Hisun Sector E1 that I got in March-April timeframe. Its got about 100 miles on it. I was driving it yesterday among some tall grass on one of my hills when it just complete stopped moving. Pressing the accelerator and nothing. I put it in reverse, nothing. I tried in 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive, locked and unlocked. Nothing. I put it in neutral, turned the ignition off and started it again and was able to drive forward about 20-30 feet and it stopped again. No errors. No 45C message, nothing. Just completely unresponsive. I had to "limp" all the way home by turning it on and off to get home. That 30 feet or so that it would travel was full power, I could push it hard or take it gently and it would still cut out on me. Its super bizarre. Anyone have any ideas what might be going on? I'm no electrician...I thought buying a sector E1 would require less work from me than an ICE vehicle, it appears I was wrong. I'm 2 hours from the nearest distributor so pretty worried about getting it serviced.
  4. We have a 2020 Hisun 450 Sector that we purchased brand new. Just wondering if anyone has experienced the product to be defective as we have? We bought the unit from a Hisun Dealer in Aug 2020 to ride around in our neighborhood . This unit has broke down 3 times for same drive shaft problem and been in shop more than we have enjoyed. This unit has a drive shaft alignment problem according to service center and Hisun has no true fix for problem and just keep doing same repair to the drive shaft . Hisun has covered under warranty, which will expire this year but now that we are pushing the issue, Hisun claims you are not supposed to tow or haul with their units and are saying we are mis-treating the unit. We do not haul or tow with this unit but yet owners manual has capacity to haul or tow and unit came with towing hitch! The unit was in shop that Hisun recommended from 5//24/21 and until late July 2021 for rear drive shaft. Then again around end of September 2021 unit started jerking and making grinding noises. We contacted Hisun again and they recommend that we take to same service center. The unit was in shop from Sept 2021 until January 2022 for rear drive shaft again. While at the service center the shop showed me some other Hisun's that they had to repair for same problem. For the 3rd time this unit started jerking and grinding noises on 4/24/22. We took unit back to service center again and reached out to Hisun multiple times by email and phone only to be told it is our fault that they have a defective unit/part. The service center repaired unit again and we picked up Mid May. We have sent Hisun pictures of the drive shaft and the mis-alignment issue and have been trying to get a resolution to this problem instead of temporary fix! This is end of May 2022 and the unit is having same issues again . We would highly recommend. to stay away from Hisun. The product we have is defective and they do not care or stand behind their product! We are looking into legal action and if anyone has similar problems with Husun please email me.
  5. New Hisun 2021 ev1 . 4.1 hours. The 2 dash gauges and all small green round lights above gauges only work occasionally. Dealer is 4 hours away. Where should I start looking. Everything else seems to work great. Thanks
  6. Do you know the Hisun sector e1 52c2 error code? Will not drive.
  7. Just bought a new Hisun E1. From the minute i drove it off the barge (we live in an island) it had a loud 'creaking' noise from the rear, and a clanking and vibration from the front. The noise at the front sounds and feels like a CV or UJ has gone. All shafts and joints are solid and seem to be greased, as are mounts for gearbox and diffs. The vehicle sounds like an old steam train going down the road - worse going down hills but no real difference turning or 2WD, 4WD or diff lock on. Noises increase/decrease with speed of vehicle, so definatley drive-train related, not just something loose. Oddly, all noises go in reverse. Real pain in the backside to get to dealer as will cost about $1500 just to get it there and back again. Anybody experienced these issues or similar on an E1 or any other Hisun? Cheers.
  8. My father in law just delivered our new sector E1 and after 5 minutes of driving around we smelled burning smoke and discovered the three wires red, yellow and green were burning. It still drives but were afraid of it catching on fire! Anyone else have this experience?
  9. I bought a 40 inch light bar and trying to hook it up to a HISUN sector E1 which is all electric UTV and uses Discover Dry cell batteries. The light bar is not working. But when i hook it up to a regular 12 volt battery / car battery . it works . any idea what is wrong ?
  10. Turns over great, has spark, shoots fuel, but it just won't start.. I've replaced starter, starter soliniod, battery and fuel injector.. I have no idea where to start now.. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  12. The seat belts have a safety feature that make the utv not be able to go over 15 mph if the buckles aren't latched. 2020 hisun 250 sector
  13. Hey there tried to search the forum and come up with nothing, I know i have seen it here. What is the Delphi code reader needed to Diagnose a 2018 Hisun Sector 750, got one with spark, fuel and no run. bit bizzare. Would like to get a code reader from alixpress or amazon or something as we don't have a local dealer, can anyone help me with a part number, or know of a good unit that works? thanks very much Matthew
  14. Hi guys, I have a Rural King version of the Hisun Sector 250 with about 75 miles and 15 hours on it. It just started being difficult to start and idle. But if I hold in on the gas a little it will start and run until I left off. It also runs good and will run good until I stop then it idles for a few seconds then quits. Its about 4 months out of warranty. Battery voltage is fine before, during, and after starting. Oil is clean and clear. Gas is fresh. I can hear the fuel pump spool up when I turn the key to actually start it, not when I turn it to the on position though like on most other UTV's I have owned. Its really odd and has me perplexed. The only other thing that I have noticed is that the engine temp indicator on the left side of the dash only indicates one bar regardless of how warm the engine is. Other than that, it runs great. Just hard to start and won't idle. Any suggestions? It has me perplexed. Thanks Jason
  15. I bought the sector hisun 550 for feeding deer, haven't had it a year yet and yesterday driving it I heard a bad noise. Took it back where I bought it and they said it sounds like the rear differential went out of it. Has anyone had any problem like this with there new hisun. I do have about 160 hours on it and 2600 miles. All easy driving miles.

  17. So i have a 2018 Hisun Sector 750 Crew and while driving the noise level is outrageous. I want to find a way to decrease the decibel level, so does anyone have any ideas!!! i was thinking about installing foam on the roof enclosure and possibly putting something around the engine bay area. I have not found any companies that makes a suppressor for the muffler...Any help would be appreciated. thank you
