I just bought a new Hisun 750 sxs. I drove one mile and it just died. No power at all. Battery is 12.8v. Found no blown fuses. No power to the panel, no nothing. Problem for me is I bought 160 acres near big bend. Trying to build a house. Got blown up in 'Nam . Can't walk much. Scared I'm way out and it fails again. I heard something  about a brake switch,  but I have no idea where it might be.

Hi Nypto,

How are you with electrical troubleshooting?

Since you know the battery is good, Have you checked the cables?

  • Check continuity between the negative terminal and the engine case, you should have close to 0 ohms if the ground connection is good.
  • Check between the positive terminal and the starter relay on the other end of the positive batt cable.

I would be surprised if there wasnt a loose connection somewhere in there. Likely connected at the factory and not tightened, and it just rattled loose.

Past that I would try to lean on the people who sold it, and see if you can exchange it for a new one since you only got a mile out of it.

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes, and if you want to continue digging past that.

Sounds like the battery cables are good.

Ok you've checked the simple stuff, I would contact the seller and ask for an exchange at this point. It's only done a mile I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation.

If you want to keep going let me know, but from here you're likely looking at replacing parts and possibly voiding the warranty, as well as a bunch of time and labor.

Well, I have to show my stupidity here. I had the 750 towed. 150 dollars and I found out what the problem was.

The dashboard ECU switch fuse was blown. I NEVER thought a simple 5 amp fuse would shut the whole utv down.

Going to call the dealership and ask if it was a known problem.

I did buy a handful of these fuses just in case.

I appreciate the help you offered. I know where to come for help

THANKS

Yeah....that's  where my ignorance showed thru. I never thought to check a little 5 amp fuse that ran the display. How could that little fuse wreak havoc on my whole dystem?

I found out exactly how it happened. The little plug in the glove box..for accessories was unplugged. I had placed a pair of needle nose pliers in there which came into contact with the positive side of the plug. I now carry a handful of fuses.

Hello Nypto.....I am having the same exact issue on my 2021 Axis 750 crew......can you tell me where the dashboard ECU fuse in question is located?  I am about to pull out my hair with this issue!

Thanx!~

Looks like this, gotta pull the screws and the fuses are inside. It's under the seat near the batt on the smaller displacement UTVs, and I believe under the hood on the firewall on the bigger ones.

If you look at the wiring diagrams a lot of stuff is shared so a seemingly unrelated fuse can cause issues on a lot of systems.

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

I recently purchased a 2024 Hisun 550 Sector from Kreps Service Station and am having issues with the gear selector, I am doing as instructed in the owners manual but the shifter acts like it is binding or the button lock isn't releasing, the shifter will not move, I have to wiggle it back and forth while pushing hard on the brake and if it's in park or reverse it's nearly impossible to get it to move, I contacted Justin Krep and he says this is normal with these machines, I find that hard to believe, I've owned many utvs and side x sides and have never had this kind of issue with any of them, any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

As I tried to do a conversion with the Yamaha 660 motor, I realized the 660 was never fuel injected so it would not work for the fuel injected hisun motor swap. But the good thing is the hisun 750 motor is a clone of the 660 Yamaha but with the components for the fuel injection (cam/crank position sensor). So that left me with a new rebuilt Yamaha 660 and still a broke 750 hisun motor. I took apart 750 think the timing chain had broke from all that I've heard about these motors. The chain was not broke, but just off cam and crank gears! The chain tensioner was at fault!  I've ordered Yamaha 660 replacement parts, chain, two exhaust valves (which got bent when chain came off while motor was spinning) and seals. The piston has 2 little nicks where it had hit valves but no damage otherwise. The head is being redone at the machine shop and I'll be putting it back together in the next couple of weeks. Also I finally tracked down a Service Manual with all the info on the 550/750 Challenger.

I just purchased a used 2023 Massimo warrior UTV SxS 1000mx with 600 miles on it. I didn't even get a full day of riding and the driver's side rear axle broke. I'm pretty sure it was already going bad because we would hear a noise once in a while. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with theirs. Also looking for places to buy accessories.
