Bought my coleman u400 from TSC last year, was running great. I live on a lake and use it almost daily to climb a pretty steep hill from my house down a path to the water. Last week was driving up the hill and it just quit. First thought was I'd run out of gas but it has almost a full tank of gas in it.  Have tried to get it to restart and the lights come on and it tries to turn over but won't catch. Checked the battery and tried to jump it just in case but it's not that. Checked the starter and it's good. Can't find the spark plug to even check that. I called the local repair guy in town and he told me he doesn't work on Hisun since it's all shit and I'd be better off burning the damn thing so that's been no help. Would appreciate any other ideas.

Explain the process on checking the battery please.

Not familiar with that machine but the owners manual should tell where spark plug is.

The battery needs to have a charge of about 12.6 volts to be considered good. Less than 12.2 and it probably won't kick in the starter.

The stator charging system is not the best.

Can you hear fuel pump?

Any codes on dash?

The owners manual has a tiny illustration that barely looks like the engine. I found it after just slowly searching for it and the spark plug was disgusting. Replaced it and it started right up. Thanks for the suggestions.

Marcus,

Glad you got it back running.

For future people reading this thread:

Spark plug is on the back of the engine under the bed on all the newer hisuns. The cylinder faces backwards with the plug at the top. Older carb models it's on the fwd side of the engine.

I'm thinking of buying a snow blade for my Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun with Coleman stickers).
Has anyone purchased a snow blade that can offer the make and model they bought and any comments, pros  cons etc.?
Not 100% sure I'm going to buy, as the selection of blades for this model seems a bit thin on line.
      Thoughts and comments welcomed.
      Thanks in advance.

Have a bed decal that has never been right.  Contacted Coleman Powersports and they have no solution.  Anyone know of a place where I could get a replacement decal or complete decal or graphics kit?

I want to put a charger/maintainer for my Coleman UT400 for the winter and need to know if it uses a 6v or 12v battery.
One search online showed a 6v, but another stated 12v..
I can look at the battery, but after taking the seat out you cannot see the top of the battery without also removing the top plate under the seat and at 8 degrees outside, I'd rather not be out there too long.
Can anyone verify what volt (6 or 12) the batter is?
      Thanks in advance ...
