I assume you looked thru all the 500 manuals  in the download section and theyre all for the carbed version?

It should be substantially similar to the 550 model, all the EFI, and mechanical is essentially the same AFAIK just a slightly different size piston, infact all the Hisun models are very mechanically simila, with differences in bodies, accessories, and minor driveline changes due to spacing requirements.

Do you have anything in particular you need help with?

I see that the 500 and 550 are almost the same. The 550 can give error codes from the dashboard, I don't think the 500 can, not the same dashboard. . Trying to find out why the motor is losing power/fuel and need info on parking brake replacement.

All the info in the 500 files are for carb motors.   I am thinking that not many 500's were made before they switched to the 550.

I like to do my own work, but hard to do it without good tech info

They use the same EFI system controlled by the Delphi MT05 ECU.

Mechanically they are all similar, I would be surprised if your unit will not spit out error codes like the rest of them.

Go ahead and give us more details of exactly whats happening and maybe we can point you in the right direction.

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

As I tried to do a conversion with the Yamaha 660 motor, I realized the 660 was never fuel injected so it would not work for the fuel injected hisun motor swap. But the good thing is the hisun 750 motor is a clone of the 660 Yamaha but with the components for the fuel injection (cam/crank position sensor). So that left me with a new rebuilt Yamaha 660 and still a broke 750 hisun motor. I took apart 750 think the timing chain had broke from all that I've heard about these motors. The chain was not broke, but just off cam and crank gears! The chain tensioner was at fault!  I've ordered Yamaha 660 replacement parts, chain, two exhaust valves (which got bent when chain came off while motor was spinning) and seals. The piston has 2 little nicks where it had hit valves but no damage otherwise. The head is being redone at the machine shop and I'll be putting it back together in the next couple of weeks. Also I finally tracked down a Service Manual with all the info on the 550/750 Challenger.

We have a 2018 Cub Cadet Challenger 400 and I found this Internally Threaded Bolt with a 10mm head size laying in the floor of the shop bay here on our ranch where we park the Cub Cadet.
Trying to figure out where it belongs...
