Tried it again and this time it worked, but I had to floor it to get it to start, but at least it started, I've been trying to get it to start using the first part of the throttle, but when I pull it or coast it, I end up floor boarded so I should probably start just flooring it and see if that works. When I try to start with minimal throttle, I ofter notice the smell unburnt gas. I did get my malfunction light hooked up and once the engine is running, it goes out, tried unhooking a few sensors and the light came on.

Good work on the fault code light. Now if we can find a scanner that will read the computer for diagonistic we will be all set. There is not a plug in recepticle for the scanner but the terminals for it are on the compuuter and the schematic for the Trooper shows the plug and which pins the scanning leads from the computer go to, so we could get one hooked up. I'm thinking that a lot of standard scanners would work being that it is a Seimens or is it Bosch computer. I dought that they set up different codes for all the different cars. A lot of the car computers look idenical although they may have different call up tables telling them how to respond to various conditions, they probably all have the same code for same sensors not working. Anybody have any thoughts on this.

When I take my Yukon for for safety and emmissions testing, the tech plugs in the vehicles computer and get all the info, I think he has just the one plug and I bet they are standardized. Ours should follow, I'll look around and call him.

Any one want to set up the Malfunction light? it's easy, I picked up the +12 volts off of the battery at the winch relay, put a 1 amp fuse inline with a 1000 ohm resistor and a red LED to the blue wire and duct taped it to the computer cover. Can't see it while driving, but that can be changed quite easilly too.

Hi , I believe that joyner system diagnostics are obd2 compliant, they should have standerized trouble codes . It would be pretty easy to wire up you can buy obd2 connector just need power, ground data line terminals added to the connector and use a generic code reader .With some research Iam sure we could find a laptop based program and cable lead to read actual data streams

Kinarfi, maybe you could slplit out the talk here about computer diagnostics and put it in it's own thread. That way we may get more input and could resolve the problem for once and for all. Looks like we may be getting close.

Kinarfi, here is a site showing someone having a starting problem. I figure everything can possibly be of help.

      Hi everyone
Recently purchased a 2020 T-Boss 410 in what appears to be good condition
First time with this machine – I also have a diesel Kawasaki Mule which so far seems a better machine
It didn’t start and idle well particularly from cold when I got it and sudden take off ( now solved with new clutch parts ) was all or nothing !
I have replaced the idle valve, throttle position sensor, had the injector professionally checked ( ok) and also the pressure sensor this is a fuel injection engine, also plug and lead etc!
It still doesn’t run well and when starting I have to hold revs for a while as it wont idle but stall, thereafter its better and I have rebooted the ecu which has improved it
When I go to start it clicks as if there is a hydraulic lock and wont return after two or three attempts it then does turn over and start bit I need to give it a bit of throttle to start – is this normal ?
Is there adjustment for the air idle valve ?
The engine seems rough and with vibration compared to other engines I have been used to but some say this is normal?
I haven’t changed the Lambda sensor yet, anyone know how much difference this might make ( I have a new Bosch universal to fit )
Any advice very much appreciated, thanks

I have an Axis 500 4x4 UTV that I was given.  It looks like an almost new machine with 39 hrs on it however it was apparently under water from the hurricane . I have no spark at the plug. I have replaced the plug, the plug wire, & the stator so far. Can anyone advise me of what i need to check and or replace to get this thing running? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
                                    Thank You,
                                  D Maynard

      Hi All,
New here, but bought a 2022 Sector 750 brand new last march (old stock up here in Canada)
It's a good bike so far, but I have noticed a quirk and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?

The issue I've had is if I leave the utv parked on any incline, not even a major incline, and leave it to sit for a while (day or two) it will not start properly. It will turn over and not fire until I press the gas pedal, when it will run and rev up, but if I let off the gas it will die. It will keep doing this until I either start it in gear and drive it for a bit or leave it in neutral and roll it down the hill to flatter ground. where it will have to sit for a while.
If I park it on a decline there is no issue. fuel is not low, it's occurred a couple times now.

Any thoughts on the cause of this? Dealership just says bring it in and let them take a look, at my expense of course.

      Hello All...
Just bought a 2014 Massimo 500 UTV.  It;s not running at the moment, but hopefully will soon.  I need a seat for it also (passenger side, if it makes any difference.)  It is a crank-but no start situation.  Just now starting to read the boards for solutions.  Apparently these models are well known for this issue.  If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks
