Joyner has been bought by a new company. This happened some months ago. Talked to a dealer in Northern Idaho (Pinehurst Preformance), He said that the company is Iplex ( don't know about spelling). They supposedly hired 3 engineers from Chrysler and plan on cleaning up all the stupid little problem areas. They have a new differential they are sending Pinehurst and told him to try and brake it. This is good news. Lets all give it 3 cheers and hope this is actually finally going to happen. :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Lenny is right about the change in Joyner ownership.

Joyner was acquired by the new company in April. The new parent owner of Team Joyner USA is IPLEX, a company out of Atlanta. They are large global sourcing company with offices worldwide and their management team comes with much experience.

The new company is committed to making Joyner cars the best on the market. They are in the process of building a new plant in China to accomplish this goal

to add to this story a little.... Chrysler, before the bankrupcy[sp] was going to release an elecrtic car called a "P-POD". Iplex retained all the rights and is going to use this factory to build Joyners. They will also now offer a 6mo. parts and labor warranty. As was mentioned above, Iplex is committed to making Joyner a #1 product, and a major force in the UTV market. A.

The idea that this company is wanting to upgrade the Joyners is GREAT, but the company sending jobs to China (since they are based in Atlanta) downright SUCKS.

I agree whole heartedly, but..... nobody here will work for the wages that are paid over there. Thats why every other country is moving production to China. I was told once that the average assembly line worker gets $1.50/hr in the plants over there. Not sure if it's true or not but if it is you can certainly see why they would move there. We are required to pay a minimum of about $8/hr. whether they are skilled or not. thats huge by the time the owner pays the rest of the taxes etc. for employment here. A.

If CEOs and a lot of others were not taking rediculious amounts as compensation like 100 or 200 million a year out of our companies, things could be a lot cheaper here. Especially when their workers in many cases have to work two jobs and have the wife work just to make ends meet. I'm just not willing to accept outragious pay to anyone rather a sports star, surgen or CEO. If this is ok, why don't we just give them, say 2 billion a year. Whats the problem. they have to have a life too. They are the ones making it happen, the workers don't do much. Ya, sure.

It is actually closer to $.45/hr in China. Mexico gets $1.50/hr and that is why a lot of the jobs were moved from Mexico to China after they were sent to Mexico with the signing of NAFTA. This has & is causing a lot of problems, one being the increase in illegal crossings into USA, for Mexico as well as USA in the job market.

Is or will the new owners going to do anything for the First Owners of Joyners? Is the repair & assembly location staying in Phoenix? Maybe I should hold off on the trans repair or start planning the replacement with another brand! Too early to know if this is good or bad.

Its not the wages that kill us in the US. Its all the crap the goverment imposses on you to do buisness here. Just listen to Nancy Polosi and Barny Frank, that says it all.

I'm not sure how the current owners will be delt with. Based on 20yrs of Powersports experience, my "GUESS" would be when the warranty is up..... it's up. But that will be up to Iplex/Joyner. I'm sure there will be a case by case assesment. Personaly I think it would be in their best interest to take care of as much as they can.

As a dealer I have been very nervous about this buy out. But I have been re-assured in the last couple of months that Iplex intends to be a top competitor in this market. Only time will tell....... not months...... but probably a couple of years for them to establish themselves. I an only hope for the best. A.

It is my "feeling" that the Pheonix operation will stay intact. It seems to be businees as usual from there. There have been no indications that things will change. A.

Tim, in the latest Joyner 2009 catalogue http://www.thunderinc.com/2009_Joyner_Catalog.pdf the UTV and Buggy models have been reduced to just a few models. Is this what they are going to concentrate on or are they retaining the whole range & just promoting the more popular models because more of these are available to sell.

Any other info on the new owners from anybody would be greatly appreciated.

The latest info is they are creating 2 brochures. 1 for UTV the other for sand buggies. I'm sure Iplex will be looking into the productivity of each machine to determine which are the most profitable. I'll pass alng more info as I receive it. A.

Thanks A. Iplex deserves a bit of time to prove it's self. We can only speculate with how Joyner is going to move forward from here & in my view, we should get behind Iplex & they should also support you, Joyner owners. No company wants to read or here about their product failing or being talked about in a negative manner even if it was a past management issue. It would be good advertising if Iplex would come to the party & fix all known faults but that is up to them and in no way are they obligated to do so as new owners. If it cost 50k that would be a sound investment if it generated 250k plus in sales. Iplex, I wish you all the best & if you are looking for 1 or 2 consultants who know what they are talking about, you will find 4 or 5 right here on UTV Boards.

It's kinda funny that you bring this up Brostar..... I offered this "consultation" to Joyner when I first signed with them, and at no charge, just improved product and better dealer support. Instead what I got was... " Oh yeah"... that would be great..... and....... really, never heard of that happening, or, No we've never seen that happen before yours is the first.

I look for better things from Iplex. Sounds like they have already implimented alot of C.A.D. to the upcoming machines.

Anylizer, I did have you in mind when I said 4 or 5 right here. He's a thought though, why don't we start a thread for improvements Trooper owners would like to add on future models and the Commando/Renegade owners can add to it too. In fact I'll just do it.

      I just purchased a used 2023 Massimo warrior UTV SxS 1000mx with 600 miles on it. I didn't even get a full day of riding and the driver's side rear axle broke.       sector e1 regen has stopped (mostly) working

      the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal
       
      hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me

      Just received delivery of a 2024 AMP Pro.  Thought I'd start a thread with my impressions as I use it and learn more.  There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of real-world usage information out there on this model.  Hope this will help others as they research.
      Intended Use Cases
      Fire mitigation / slash removal from a 5 acre forested and well-gamble-oaked property.  The previous owners thought as much about fire mitigation as I do about fashion: not much. Snow removal Stump pulling General hauling (rock, lumber, etc.) Weimaraner energy depletion.  Wasn't an original use case, but a nice added bonus.  Experiences So Far
      Wasn't impressed that two of the bumpers on the underside of the bed where it sits upon the frame were missing.  The metal on metal contact has damaged the powder coating and the frame.  I expect a little better QC.
      I've only put a few hours on it, so not a ton to report on usage.  It isn't quiet; it's silent.  I can't even detect an electric note from the motor. I removed (and subsequently replaced) the motor cover noticed that the motor is German and made by Schambuller.  The motor controller is Italian and made by Dana TM4.  Given the operating specs of both I found on the web, I suspect both are higher quality than the previous Navitas (which is supposed to be decent).  The motor is rated at 25 hp and 71.5 lb-ft of torque.  It feels very powerful.  All the torque is delivered instantly, if desired.
      The bed is huge and has an electric dump as standard.  Great feature but would like it to go up a bit more.  Probably not feasible from an engineering perspective, but I want and I need ;).
      Power steering is nice, but vague.  Probably common to many UTVs, but I am accustomed to more direct results from input.  Plan early and plan often.
      In our first full day of usage, we hauled about 1/2 as much slash as the entire rest of the year when I was doing it by hand cart.  I may get fatter, but I'll also get more done.  After a few days of usage, the battery meter has gone down by 1/10th.

      so i just picked up a 2008 1100 trooper and iv ordered a few parts for it now and 99% of what i got fits perfect my issue now is my rear wheel hub is stripped out got a new cv and it fits great but i order 2 different hubs from 2 different places now and they are both wrong the spline opening is to small to fit the factory cv shaft and yes the shaft factory part #s are the same paid 250 for an original new replacement if anyone has anything that works to replace the original hub please point me in the right direction
