Hi everyone, I'll start this off with a TLDR; If you were looking at a 2020+ 2 seater RZR XP1000 premium, Wolverine RMax, Teryx KRX 1000 (base, trail, or special edition), Maverick Sport XMR, Commander XMR, and a Talon X, which would you get and why? Also, If you have any of these what is your favorite and least favorite things about them?

Long version:

I'm looking at getting a SXS this year, and want some input on this vs that, and to hear the personal experiences of anyone that has or had one of the above models. I normally take my Ford Ranger out trail riding every other month or so but I recently bought property with some friends and we're going to be going out more like every 3-4 weeks at least now. So I'm thinking a SXS will be smarter to use than beating on my daily that often lol. I've had several ATV's over 14 years but never had a SXS. I've been out of the powersports scene for about 6 years now so I'm trying to play catchup on all the new models. I worked for BRP for a few years, I'm pretty familiar with their products but left a few months before the Maverick Sport was released, so I haven't had any hands on experience with the final product or the updated Commander.

I live in Florida, slower trails with lots of trees, sugar sand, and mud/water. I don't need an X3 or RZR pro type power/suspension but I do like the bucket seats and seating position of a pure sport SXS. Defenders are too upright and the seat/pedal position doesn't let me stretch my legs out on 6+ hour rides. I'm not planning on going crazy with mods outside of a hard roof, snorkel(s), extra lights, tires and a fairly basic speaker bar or pods. Snorkel(s) and a roof are my "must have" before I take it out, snorkels for insurance where we ride and roof because I'm a redhead. The other things can come later down the road.

I haven't stopped by any dealers yet but I'll be going to check each model out over the next couple months.

So far the big things that stand out to me on paper for each is:

RZR XP1000-honestly nothing jumps out on this besides it's the lightest weight, but only by 30 lbs

RMax-aesthetically I like it, video reviews are pretty positive. But compared to the others it seems expensive for what you get

KRX-significantly more suspension travel than any of the others and the biggest fuel tank. The trail and special editions seem like a good value for the extras they have. Also the most expensive model on my list

Maverick Sport XMR-besides a roof it comes out of the box with everything I really want, and it has the most ground clearance (tied with the Commander XMR). Tied with the Commander XMR for the best "bang for your buck" imo

Commander XMR-I really like the bedside storage, dump bed, and higher mounted winch. Plus what I said for the Maverick

Talon X-cheapest MSRP, comes standard with a roof, and it has a physical transmission so it should be more reliable than a belt long term and hopefully cheaper to snorkel. BUT it does have the worst ground clearance (eventual tires and possibly a small lift can remedy this) and the smallest gas tank (in my experience Honda ATV's were more fuel efficient than everything else I owned so the smaller tank size may not matter)

I picked up an RMAX2 last year and we love it. We got the Limited model and looking back I wish I had gotten the XTR. The adventure pro and electronic shock adjustments aren’t really worth the extra cost. That being said I would do it all again.

      Hi everyone
Recently purchased a 2020 T-Boss 410 in what appears to be good condition
First time with this machine – I also have a diesel Kawasaki Mule which so far seems a better machine
It didn’t start and idle well particularly from cold when I got it and sudden take off ( now solved with new clutch parts ) was all or nothing !
I have replaced the idle valve, throttle position sensor, had the injector professionally checked ( ok) and also the pressure sensor this is a fuel injection engine, also plug and lead etc!
It still doesn’t run well and when starting I have to hold revs for a while as it wont idle but stall, thereafter its better and I have rebooted the ecu which has improved it
When I go to start it clicks as if there is a hydraulic lock and wont return after two or three attempts it then does turn over and start bit I need to give it a bit of throttle to start – is this normal ?
Is there adjustment for the air idle valve ?
The engine seems rough and with vibration compared to other engines I have been used to but some say this is normal?
I haven’t changed the Lambda sensor yet, anyone know how much difference this might make ( I have a new Bosch universal to fit )
Any advice very much appreciated, thanks

      Hi,
      New to the forum.
Came here looking for some experienced UTV users who can enlighten me about which brand should I pick for my very first UTV or SXS.
      I'm between 3 brands and 3 models:
      *Kawasaki MULE PRO-FXR   1000.
      *Yamaha wolverine rmax2.
      *Can am Commander XTP.
The use I'm willing to give it is mostly to go to the range with my wife, load steel targets and all our shooting gear, we shoot a lot, rifles, Shotguns and Handguns for practice, training and competition. (Range is about 10 miles from home)
But also I want something that I can take to the trails and have fun on dirt, mud, rocks, puddles or creeks.
Any objective information will be appreciated, specially which is more reliable and durable.
Thank you and happy 4th of July.
