Hello again.

I have my HT400 up on the lift and would very much like to lower my shocks from the mid adjustment to the softest setting.  I can by universal spanners for multiple sizes, but would just like to get the single flat steel on to fit my shocks.

Not sure how or where to measure the shocks to know the right size.  I've looked in most all of the Coleman/Hisun specific parts houses, but none offer anything like tools for the shocks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... :)

Thanks Charles

I'm the fourth owner and this is a '21 UT400.  Things go missing very quickly when things change hands.

I called around and most places would not let me bring in a shock to trial fit, so I drew one up in AutoCAD and just cut it out on my CNC plasma table.  I made one out of 1/8" at first, and it worked for the front shocks, but the rear shocks are much heavier in the springs.  I bent the heck out of the 1/8" one, so I tweaked the back a bit around the shock and made this one out of 1/4" plate.  I still had to use a cheater pipe on the spanner handle, but they finally turned to the lowest settings.

Thanks for the replay!

Dan

Thanks.

I found plenty of spanners, just didn't know what size or how the measure them. So, for me, making one was the easiest as I could just use my digital calipers to measure exactly what I needed to make. Other than thinking 1/8" would work, the size was good.

I need a pair of front shocks for a Landpride Treker 4200NT, from 2005?  Does anyone know of a good salvage yard - or another source?
The old shocks have "SEBAC 11685 12 3" stamped on them (or something very close - it's hard to read). I think SEBAC are (were?) an Italian company.
Is there a compatible shock I can use? I don't have easy access to a scrap yard where I can compare shocks etc.
      Thanks,
      -Kim

      Greetings,
I have a client that wants me to install a heater of some sort to aid in cold weather starting (she uses it at her business, has had issues starting the last few days in sub-zero). I would prefer a coolant heater to a pan heater (silicone pad), but I cant for the life of me find the diameter of the coolant hoses. Heck, I'm not even sure if it would work as well in this application given how long the hose is compared to tractors and trucks I have installed them in.
Any advice you could give me would be GREATLY appreciated.

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.
