looking around and cannot find and Stampede motors, the Havoc looks to directly bolt in, with exception of the larger displacment. has anyone looked into this further? seems to be a better option considering stampede engines are on backorder.

I am seriously considering replacing my 2017 Textron Stampede 900 engine with a 2018 Arctic Cat Havoc 1000. Most of the parts appear to be interchangeable. Wondering if anyone knows if this can be done and if so, what else needs to be converted. Thanks!

I know this is an older thread but I'll relay what I have found. The Havoc X engine does bolt directly into the Stampede. All of the fuel and firing components are the same part numbers. The engine will however not run on the Stampede ECU for two main reasons.

The bore and stroke of the Havoc X are both greater than the Stampede engine.  Stampede 89mmX68 and the Havoc X 92mmX72mm.

Both reluctor rings (crankshaft position) have 34 teeth. The big difference is the Top Dead Center gap on the rings. On the Stampede the TDC gap would have space for 2 to 3 teeth. On the Havoc X the TDC gap would have space for 3 to 4 teeth. The TDC gap is significantly wider on the Havoc X which would cause the ignition and fuel timing to be thrown out of operational boundaries by the Stampede ECU.

As far as a bolt on remedy it looks to me like the Havoc X engine will require a Havoc X ECU. A used one would be the best option if one can be found.  A factory ordered one will require a Havoc X VIN. Some new ones can be found but they will have to have the VIN programmed in to be operational (so I'm told).

We have a 2018 Cub Cadet Challenger 400 and I found this Internally Threaded Bolt with a 10mm head size laying in the floor of the shop bay here on our ranch where we park the Cub Cadet.

Thanks for the add.  I'm looking for ideas for a hard cab enclosure. I sure don't like the soft sides and zippered window.

the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal

hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me
