I don't have my UTV close as it's in the mountains at our cabin. My plan is to install a new robust temperature switch that turns on at a lower temperature. It will be installed between the incoming radiator hose to the radiator. I'm hoping the someone on here has the ID of the radiator hose. I have an Axis 700 made by Hisun of course. I'm going to use a Dewhel water temperature coupling that is threaded for a temperature switch. I drill and tap it to 3/8". The coupling is only $10 and this allow me to install a reliable temperature switch.

Thanks

I was able to get the measurements from motorcycle doctor.

The Radiator Hose I.D. is .810” or about 21mm.

The Radiator In/Outlet is  .880”. This is the diameter of the tubes not the bulge in the tube which helps seal the hose.

The radiator fan switch ‘should’ close at approx. 165-180 degrees. The Temp Warning light at 190-200.

Adding a hand switch is also recommended, especially in higher altitudes

My plan has changed to incorporate an actual temperature gauge from glowshift gauges that will screw directly into the BAGARAATAN water temperature device that I ordered from Amazon. The 22mm one is the correct one to purchase. I will also add a hand switch.

I sure you know this. But just in case you haven't thought of it. The manual switch should not be feed from the sensor. That would cause all sorts of issues.

I'm sure your going to use a relay to supply the power to the rad fan. Then use the sensor as the trigger to turn the relay on and off. The manual switch your going to install would be fine going to the same relay. Just don't feed the manual switch from the sensor wire.

Also I tapped into the power wire going to the 12v accessory plug. That is only has power when the key is on. Then I can tap off that wire to switches to use as triggers going to relays controlling other electric devices. That way when the key is off nothing is accidentally left on and drains the battery.

Relays are wonderful. I installed a LED light bar on the front of my Axis. Used a relay of course. Instead of using a switch as the trigger for the relay. I used the HI beam of the headlights. That way when I meet another vehicle all I have to do is dim the high beams back to dim and automatically turn off light bar. And when Axis key is off so are the headlights. So even if I turn on the high beam headlights/LED light bar during the day. When I turned it off don't have to worry about killing the battery accidentally.

Thank you for the information. I plan on installing a heater on my Axis. I was wanting to get all parts before starting and was wondering the ID of the hose in order to purchase the "T".

I've looked several places and couldn't find the info. Also plan on installing a temp gauge as well. So you saved me the trouble of digging and digging trying to find the info.

Also when installing I'm going to install valves inorder to by-pass the heater in the summer.

Is there a code reader available for the Coleman UTV 400?  I tried using the HUD ECU Hacker software and cables/adapters but no luck OBD to delphi 6 pin and KKL VAG as well as ELM327.  Will not connect.  I was able to get it to connect randomly a couple of times, but haven't been able to since.  I was able to clear and read the codes briefly.  I'm aware of the Tiny Scan 301 but it doesn't seem to be readily available.  There's a few out there but they are expensive.

I want to ditch my Kubota RTV-XG850 and its moronic twitchy throttle design flaw, get rid of the problematic engine and the 40 mph purposely throttled speed.
So far, I'm looking at the Honda Pioneer 1000 and the Polaris Ranger 1000, both of which have 1000-1500 lb payload bed capacity.
What other makes and models should I be looking at?

      Thanks for the help!

I have an Axis 500 4x4 UTV that I was given.  It looks like an almost new machine with 39 hrs on it however it was apparently under water from the hurricane . I have no spark at the plug. I have replaced the plug, the plug wire, & the stator so far. Can anyone advise me of what i need to check and or replace to get this thing running? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
