2015 Massimo MSU500 was running fine, just died while idling.  I put a new fuel pump in as the original was getting noisy, but didn’t solve the problem.  I don’t see any damaged wires, and this is the first issue I’ve ever had with it.  I can hook a 12v battery to fuel pump directly and it starts fine, haven’t tried to drive it but assume it will run fine if there was power to fuel pump.  While I haven’t continuity tested the ground, I have proved the plug and there is no 12v on the appropriate wire.  As I said, plug off, alligator clip jumpers to appropriate fuel pump pins and it runs fine.  Fuse is good but looks like relay is only replaceable via replacing the whole firewall mounted unit.  Any good way to test that relay?

Well, it wasn’t either of those, after tracing wires, cleaning every connector and adding dielectric grease, no bad wires and fuse was the first thing I checked/changed.  It was the relay, $45 on eBay and it’s now running again, with a much quieter fuel pump to boot!

Help!  Where the heck is the fuel pump relay switch or is it in the wiring harness and you just replace that.  I called Massimo and the guy said there that it was not in the fuse/relay box.  Thanks for any help or pictures....Mark

Anyone know anything about the Massimo Warrior 1000 MXD Crew UTV? I like the look but don't know anyone that owns one. All feedback is appreciated.

Bit of background. First the machine would take for ever to start. So I adjusted the valve shims into spec and made sure the timing is correct. Starts perfectly now.

now it fluctuates on idle. Bogs down, Revs up, repeat. I noticed the fuel pressure drops from 60psi to 20psi while that happens. It also bogs down at the lower end of each gear, higher rpm seems to be fine. Seems to struggle under load. In neutral it revs up perfectly.

brand new fuel pump, fuel filter, gas. I noticed on the fuel pressure regulator there’s that vacuum nipple, it’s not attached to anything and I’m not sure where it would go. Possibly the problem?

Another issue is the tip off the end of the exhaust is broken off, sensor is still attached and connected. Could that cause these issues?

my next plan was to look into the pressure regulator and voltage to fuel pump while driving. Is there anything I’m missing or any ideas you guys have?

      thanks!

      Hello All...
Just bought a 2014 Massimo 500 UTV.  It;s not running at the moment, but hopefully will soon.  I need a seat for it also (passenger side, if it makes any difference.)  It is a crank-but no start situation.  Just now starting to read the boards for solutions.  Apparently these models are well known for this issue.  If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

I have a Coleman HS400UTV-5 got it manly for hunting and spending time with the grandkids
The one problem I am trying to avoid. My son borrowed it last summer and said it ran hot so he added water to it . I do not know how much he put in so I would like to drain most of it and add new coolant to protect it this winter. I can find no drain cock or any way of draining it besides loosening a hose.  Any suggestions ????
