This manual has been designed to assist trained mechanics in servicing the models listed above. If you do not have the proper training or tools to perform a particular task it is best if you seek out a service professional.

This manual was written using the latest information available at the time of publication. Illustrations in this manual are shown to help you with the basics of performing the jobs listed. The pictures in this manual may not depict the actual vehicle you’re working on, however the procedures will be similar.

      sector e1 regen has stopped (mostly) working

      the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal
       
      hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me

      This is the 2020 updated version from the previous 2009 version.  I do not know all the differences.  I do know the 2020 models have throttle body , idle air control valve, & idle control sensor.

      I've had a Hisun HS500 (Axis 500) that I bought at Lowes almost a year ago.  I have downloaded the service manual found on this forum and notice that they have 2009 and 2010 year dates on them.  Isn't there a newer version available somewhere?  I'm about to try my first ever valve adjustment and am wondering if the info is the same.  Mine is fuel injected but there is carb info in those manuals.  Don't know if they still have carb models now but figure they did then.
