After two days of off-roading and one day of walking the Vendor tents, we are on our way to Rocky Point, MX. Not a problem with the Trooper and performance has been excellent. A big plus is I was able to purchase a 3/4" drive & socket set from one of the Vendor tents. Now I can get the Hub nut off & I really needed it for the truck to get the wheel nuts off in case of a flat. I have always carried a 1/2" and a two foot length of pipe, The right tool for the job is better.

Quartzsite, trying to be nice we will never be back. Enough said!

I bought my 3/4" socket set years ago for about $20. It was a cheap set from china. Figured at 3/4", wouldn't be tough enough to break it anyway and never could even though I tried a few times. Have a good time at Rocky Point.

Climbed Competition Hill with ease. No front locker engaged and I will try today in 2wd & without rear locker. We will take pics today, maybe a video, but will not be able to load until we get home. The Wifi connection is too slow here. Ran some HUGE sand berms & smaller sand hills in 2wd & no lockers. Only going to be 70 degrees today, LOL! We sure are at the correct location at the right time. Last day as we load later afternoon and head home in the morning. We almost decide to extend and take the new coastal road from Rocky Point to El Golfo but need to return home for honeydew's.

Went back to competition hill today to see just how far I could push the Trooper. Pushing pretty close to the max, I climb the face of the hill in 2wd, no lockers engaged. I was able to climb anything with 4wd & lockers except one cliff section, just ran out of power.

But on the plus side I took my dirt bike over, Honda CRF450X, and climb everything including the cliff in 3rd & 4th gear. Man does that thing fly!

We took some still pics but ran out of battery for any video.

Seafood dinner in town tonight and end of the fun.

Gosh CRF 450, I rode one of those and they are unbeleiveable for power. I comparied it the the 750 Triumph I use to hillclime running nitro methane. You may be getting a little too old for that but guess you havn't figured that out yet. I guess I havn't either, just bought a yamaha banshee, about the same, just hang on. Takes a bit to get confortable with the power and after you are, there just dangerous at our age. :lol::lol:

I agree. The old saying of reliving your childhood is true and fun and crazy and well, the best times of your life is when your a kid and retired. Have a save trip back.

The muffler is added to the existing stock exhaust system. The stock system was to loud. Notice on the end of the muffler is a spark arrester, want no problems with Forest Service. Performance did not change, better or worse - it is the same.

Spark Arrester I purchased off of Ebay, it was for a VW.

Muffler is a CherryBomb quiet muffler. Can be purchased at major parts house or muffler shop. Same for the 90 degree sweep tubing, clamps & hanger.

Sorry but another question.What did you do about the sensor that was in the stock muffler?

      2018 Cub Cadet Challenger 750 shifting problems

      I generally use my challenger for light duty misc. use, and for plowing. The one thing I dislike about this machine is the difficulty in shifting. I've had it the shop and they adjusted the shifting lever, but I still have issues. Some times it shifts ok, but the problem is it is hard to get it to move the lever from high to reverse or low to high or from any gear to the other. Seems I always have to accelerate a little to get it to engage to what gear I need it to go to. This is definitely not normal.

      Top speed is 30mph on flat grass ground.  but it will not go up minor hills forward or reverse without a runing start.  If you start at the bottom of the hill machine will stop about 1/2 way up.  I have the engine cover off and you can see the outside of the drive clutch will stop spining., and the engine does bogg down some.  Dosent matter if engine is cold or warmed up.  Seat belts are connected.  Fuel is clean
      I am the 5th shop to look at it and different shops have replaced the fuel pump, injector, ign coil, wet clutch, 
      I am not sure how to check for codes with this machine,  can anyone teall me how to do it?
       
      Compression with hot eng is 145,  valves adjusted to .005 with a cold engine.  Dash shows 426 hours
      I am not convinced it's an engine problem

      Hi everybody. I just bought a 2012 Hisun with the 700cc engine. Was wondering where i could find a service manual for this thing?
      Its going to need some parts that are missing, like the air intake hoses and other things. Also the dash display is out. the only light that works is neutral light. Not even sure on the model. from pics I've seen, it looks like an HS700. Kind of grey with the black stripes on the hood. Just hoping i can find parts for it.
      Thank you for any advice you can give me. By the way, it does run and goes forward and reverse.

      I got an old 2003 Arctic Cat 375 Auto, and just bought a 2008 AC 650 side by side. Got a new starter, solenoid, and battery for the 650. Gonna change the crankcase oil and filter while I'm at it.
      Anything I oughta watch out for from them that's done the starter/solenoid on this model?
      Don't have a manual yet for the 650. Any recommendations for oil weight/grade?

      That's the question! Or, if you want to add details:
      (a) How do you use the UTV? (roads? off-road to get to trees? etc.)
      (b) If you are wearing a helmet--how frequently? What type of helmet?
       
      My own answers: (a) Most of the time off-road to get to downed trees, cut the trees to logs and haul the logs back for splitting. (b) Very rarely, a ski helmet and not a motorcycle helmet.
