I have a 2020 Tracker 800SX LE that I bought new in 2020.  Yesterday I noticed two cracks in the bed on the inside corners at the tailgate end.  They go all the way through.   I use it around the property moving firewood, dirt and stuff.  Never put stress on the sides of the bed.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a fix?  Help!!!

So cut some metal squares from scrap or go to Lowe’s and pick up some metal sheets. Just like above rivet or bolt to add support to those areas that are cracked. The bigger area you cover the better. Do it from the bottom to make it look more professional. Probably not great to haul firewood in the plastic bed. You might also look into a metal sheet to cover and add support to the entire bed.
My past job experience we “scabbed” vibration conveyors using the metal squares with great success.

My Coleman (Hisum) bed is plastic.  It has taken a lot of abuse from firewood both rounds up to 18",  and spits tossed into it from several yards away.   Knock on wood, it is holding up OK, but I know that the Asian plastics can become unstable over time and brittle.   We'll see.

Many of these work beds are gas shock supported.  But if you get close to 500 lbs in the bed, its a chore to dump. Once the logs start to roll off, it pops right up.   Not sure how long those gas shocks last though.

Looking again at the pics it almost looks like something was attached to those eyelets and maybe jerked under load, fracturing the plastic they are mounted to.  Just a guess.

I looked up his UTV..it's nearly identical to mine except 50 hp to mines 39.bed appears. Same size..I Have loaded mine to capacity and it took 2 of us to lift. Can't imagine trying with double that weight piled on. Towing 2000 lbs  I. get ,cause my 500 can tow 1500 but half ton in that plastic bed?dicey

I've had it loaded with firewood on many occasions.  The bed has a piston to assist it in dumping so it wasn't that hard.  Just needed a little help.  The cracks most likely happened when the bed warped from the engine heat.  I put a heat shield over it, so will see how it goes.

Używam go na posesji, przenosząc drewno opałowe, brud i inne rzeczy. Nigdy nie obciążam boków skrzyni ładunkowej. Czy ktoś inny miał ten problem? Czy jest jakieś rozwiązanie? Pomocy!!!

I want to ditch my Kubota RTV-XG850 and its moronic twitchy throttle design flaw, get rid of the problematic engine and the 40 mph purposely throttled speed.
So far, I'm looking at the Honda Pioneer 1000 and the Polaris Ranger 1000, both of which have 1000-1500 lb payload bed capacity.
What other makes and models should I be looking at?

      Thanks for the help!

I had to remove the relay for the dump bed due to it popping the fuse for main key power. I have tried to find a short but nothing seems to out of normal. I also disconnected the dump motor and switch and still pops the fuse. Also, when the machine is warmed up i get about 5 to 10 of work out of before it stalls. Once I can get it to start again I have to use the choke to keep it running.

As with any forum you join, there is a requirement for an obligatory introduction... and that seems fair. How else do you get that first post in there without jumping in with some stupid question right out of nowhere?

Hi. I'm Space Ghost. Well, not really, but that was my call sign on my last deployment before an IED made me non-deployable, and I an now retired/disabled, and living on my wonderful VA disability. I did almost 28 years in total between the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. 1 deployment with the Reserve (Desert Storm) and 3 with the Guard (1 pre, and 2 post 9/11)

Married (going on 30 years) one of each. (both out of the nest)

Just picked up my first side by side a couple days ago. A 2020 Can-Am Defender HD10 DPS 6x6.

It's in pretty good shape, but as you can probably tell, it's sitting a bit high. Former owner put a lifting collar on the shocks.

The good = almost 17" of ground clearance. (30" tires)
The bad = incredibly steep driveline angles, and a pretty stiff ride.

      They will be coming off.

Other than that... clean as a pin and appears very well maintained.

Looking forward to seeing what this forum can bring, and hoping I can bring something in return.
