The gauges on the Troopers aren't the greatest. If you search through the forum there have been a few people who've replaced the gauges with some marine grade ones .. exact fit for the holes in the dash. My T2 used to over heat all the time, so I moved the rad up on top of the rear deck and haven't had a problem since. There's photos in the gallery.

The oil pressure on the Trooper isn't the best. Seems that when it gets hot, pressure goes way down. A lot of us have had the same problem. The oil just gets too hot. You might add an oil cooler. Get a filter adapter and an oil cooler and plumb them in. Ask your auto parts store. On mine I made an aluminum oil pan that holds 9 quarts. Being aluminum with much more surface area to cool the oil and having the extra volumn has made a big differance. Oil pressure holds much better. Get more air into the engine space to help keep things cooler. I cut the fronts out of the little triangle body pieces just ahead and above the rear fenders to make them act like air scoops. Going to make them much bigger when I get a chance. Every bit helps. You could also replace the radiator fan with a high volumn fan.

I've been running 10-30 oil in mine, has anyone tried using 10-40 or some other heavier oil, I use to run 20-50 in my 100 hp Rotax 4 cylinder horizontally opposed air cooled air plane motor. Any advice for shop owners?

Thanks

I normally run 10-40 or 20-40 in everything. I run 20-50 in my race car. I will try to find the Mobil 1 bottle in a little bit and tell you for sure what is in my Trooper.

While driving the MSU 800, it runs good but it lately it will not go over 20 MPH. The side by side will hesitate when it reaches 21 MPH, but it will run good under 20 MPH. What is the issue?

I have an Axis 500 4x4 UTV that I was given.  It looks like an almost new machine with 39 hrs on it however it was apparently under water from the hurricane . I have no spark at the plug. I have replaced the plug, the plug wire, & the stator so far. Can anyone advise me of what i need to check and or replace to get this thing running? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi All
Just installed a predator 670 on my Landmaster. My question is can I remove the low oil pressure wire fitting and plumb my mechanical gauge into that access point?
Thanks in advance for your advice !!

hello, my BMS Stallion 600 is having accleration issues. the manual fails to show final gear oil diagrams very well... I have the owners manual and suspect issue is associated to transmission , I want to check the level of the gearoil. I located a drain plug (but not the fill plug nor dipstick). It will run - but wont exceede 2mph. Troubleshooting suggestions or comprehensive manual suggestions? Thanks

Have a Coleman UTV 400 that cranks, runs, drives well until it gets warm and is put under load.  Light throttle or full throttle it doesn't bog, but it will cut out mid throttle if you move the pedal quicker than it seems to like for example when you're getting ready to go up a hill, but if you immediately floor it, it will do just fine and not cut out.  It's random if and when it's going to do it, but is consistent in that it happens only when hot/full operating temperature.  I've replaced the injector twice, same with the spark plug and tried different heat ranges (NGK 7,8 and 8 iridium), replaced the fuel pump, adjusted the valves, checked air filter which is like new, changed the oil, replaced the fuel filter.  No check engine light.  I don't have a code reader for this.  Initially I thought it might have a head or head gasket issue as when I got it, the oil was over full, very runny like water milky and it was smoking.  I've changed the oil since then twice to clear and clean everything out, and it seems to be good.  Coolant stays the same level and so does oil with no changes in consistency or need for adding more. Had I think 7-9 miles when I got it and now has about 77.  What should I try or consider next?
