Help identifying some disconnected components on a Yard Sport YS400

Recommended Posts

I could really use some help identifying some disconnected components on a Yard Sport YS400. The first part is this pipe, which comes out of the exhaust port area or the cylinder. It looks like it had a piece of rubber hose on it, but the hose is gone, and I have no idea what it was previously connected to.

The second item is this vacuum valve looking thing.  Again only one line is still attached.  What is it's function and what other lines should be connected to it?

The last thing is this hose, which exits the side top of the fuel tank (not the fuel line hose) but is not connected to anything

Any help the community could provide would be greatly appreciated.  This UTV belongs to a friend, and I am trying to help him get it running correctly for his kids.

I'm not familar with the older carbed models, but pretty sure this is made by Hisun.

Looking at diagrams might it be pat of the EGR circuit? Tubing would be #18 in below diagram, hooking to an oil/fuel separator #15 below.

There also should be some sort of diaphragm based fuel pressure regulator on those too I believe.

You can go on alpha sports website and look at diagrams for the older Hisun 400 models and they should match.

Thanks for the info.  I checked Alpha Sports and could not find any information for a carburated Hisun 400

I cant remember which model i chose that diagram off of, any of the models labeled "older" with carbs should be similar. All of these things are essentially identical with scaled parts and different chassis/bodies. A lot, but not all, of the parts are directly interchangeable.

Pulling a carbed model diagram off another Hisun UTV all the plumbing and wiring should be the same to where you can at least see how its meant to be setup. The actual "yardsport" branded models are pretty rare I've only ever seen a few of them posted, but they're the same as the earlier UT400 pre-EFI.

I have a 2020 axis 500 and I have replaced the TPS twice and the whole throttle body assembly once and still have code 122. I can barely drive the thing. It bucks and surges like crazy

When we first heard the noise, we immediately stopped driving it...at first we thought it might be a linkage issue, but after further inspection looks like the sound/jolting is coming from the rear diff. Took a video below...
Anyone know what is creating the diff to skip/jump like this? We drained the diff oil and didn't look terrible, no metal.
Other info that may be useful:
      1400 miles on it
      Recently tightened the E brake
P.s. never posted on this forum before, let me know if the video does not work

This is an interesting read. ADAS is main stream on cars these days. The technology looks to be headed towards UTVs and Off-Road Vehicles.
Potential Motors and CFMOTO USA have announced a new partnership to integrate advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) into recreational off-road vehicles for the first time.
Sam Poirier, CEO and co-founder at Potential Motors, says the integration of its technology into CFMOTO’s vehicles will set new standards in the side-by-side segment. (Photo: Potential Motors Inc.) The partnership will first see Potential’s tech integrated into CFMOTO test vehicles. The companies will conduct extensive real-world testing at Potential’s purpose-built off-road proving ground in Fredericton, Canada, and CFMOTO facilities.
