The job is not that bad, just time consuming and a little frustrating depending on what approach you take. All in all should take about 5 hours worth of work to get the clutch in and out. I would not think of replacing it with such low mileage unless it is already burned up. When you get the tranny out check for the packed in mud in the bell housing and pressure plate, disassemble it and wash in brakeclean, it evaporates fast and leaves no residue. If the mud is the issue, then find a way to seal it up as best you can when going back together if you insist on playing in the mud. Also go ahead and drain the tranny and diff fluids and change those with a synthetic, I reccomend Royal Purple 75W-90, and find your vent lines for the diffs and tranny and extend them up if there is water in them. something as high or higher than your deepest water you plan on being in. I usually extend them up the cage to the top of the buggy. If you get it that deep then you have real issues that no amount of extending lines and snorkleing will help. :)

I have over 3000 miles on my 2008 t2,, clutch is still great. If I was putting in new, if price wasn't too far different, I would go with upgrade. Otherwise stock has been great for me.

Retail is 70 on the disk, there were 16 there at no limits a week ago. I know I laid my hands on them myself. I have seen stock clutches last thousands of miles. There is something went wrong with yours to do that in 150 miles.

Here are some better pictures.

Those shreaded clutch pieces reminds of a learning experience from my teen age days, AKA real screw up, My dad had a 6 cylinder chevy pick up with a 4 speed manual, 1st gear being granny or compound, but real low, max speed with engine revved was about 15 mph. One day, at the top of a hill, I put in first and held the clutch in and let it coast down the hill, planning on letting clutch to see if it would drag the rear wheels, at about 25 mph, every thing started shaking real bad. It tuned out that the clutch plate had slung apart. OOPS, sure glad I had an understanding dad.

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

I have a 2020 axis 500 and I have replaced the TPS twice and the whole throttle body assembly once and still have code 122. I can barely drive the thing. It bucks and surges like crazy

I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 I bought brand new almost 2 years ago the first month I had it the exhaust broke and burnt the spark plug wire in two that was a recall so the dealership installed the new one it had a different design and it bolted up to the bottom two plugs below the spark plug the dealership said they had to Adjust the exhaust valves I get the machine back thanking everything is good now wrong not even a week after I get it back the timing chain tensioner comes apart inside the motor I take it back to the dealership They put one on I get the machine back thanking everything is good but then just like before not even a week goes by when I was riding the Machine automatically quits going come to find out the wet clutch was burned up the primary clutch head stripped off of the splines I get that fixed and then  it overheats I take it back they bleed the air out of the coolant they bring it back to me the same day that I get it back it overheats again I take it back they temporarily fix it again just enough to let the warranty run out and now the machine has been to multiple different mechanics I have had them try to bleed the air out they have stood it up on its end I have had the water pump changed I have had the fan hooked to a switch so I could leave it on all the time but still almost 2 years later not even 200 hours on the machine and I cannot ride it The dealership will not take it back as a lemon I have tried I am at my wits end I have no clue what to try next
