Moab Report

Moab was fun, but fell short of expectations. My buddy's RZR 4 had some running problems after we ran Porcupine, so he packed it up early which left me by myself. I didn't want to wander too far off the beaten path with the family, so all we did after that was Hells Revenge, Fins & Things, & Kanes Creek. Then there was the weather. Friday and Saturday morning were great, but then it got extremely windy, which put quite a damper on the camping.

The good news is the Trooper ran great, suspension was amazing, new air intake stayed in place, and the new CV boots worked flawlessly. Also, I ran into a fellow T2 owner who lives in Moab. He has one of the tricked out T2's which No Limits Powersports built. I will definatley be calling him next time I head down.

Took alot of video of the suspension. It is set up very well for rock crawling and trail riding. It was obvious in the video that it now rides smoother and travels further than my buddy's RZR 4. There is sway when cornering at speed which is normal for dual rate coils due to the softness. I will be looking into putting on swaybar to help with that.

Thought about joining you, but the rain, the memorial day traffic, etc. etc. convinced me to stay home and work on the Trooper some more, little things, but the next time you're planning to go down I15 past Pleasant Grove, let me know and I'll try to join you, you could even stop by for minute or two.

Wish you would have come down. Then at least I would have had another reliable Trooper with me and not another broken down RZR (tongue in cheek). You really aren't that far from me and many trails are half way, so we will definatley hook up. Or, I could drop the kids off at Uncle Kinarfi's next time I am heading to Moab--LMFAO!

I think I still have some of my special cool aid left over from when I had kids at home, you give it to the kids and put them to bed or lay them on the floor and they dehydrate and flatten out in about 8 hrs, then you pick them up and fold the up and put them in a drawer until you get back, then you just unfold them and put them in a tub of water or out on the lawn with the sprinkler on and the swell back up and are just fine in about 4 hours. Would you like the recipe?

You'll love American Fork canyon if it ever melts.

We recently purchased the Axis x550. Fueled it with 93 fuel and drove one time around the farm and the 02 fault error appeared. Any ideas?

I generally use my challenger for light duty misc. use, and for plowing. The one thing I dislike about this machine is the difficulty in shifting. I've had it the shop and they adjusted the shifting lever, but I still have issues. Some times it shifts ok, but the problem is it is hard to get it to move the lever from high to reverse or low to high or from any gear to the other. Seems I always have to accelerate a little to get it to engage to what gear I need it to go to. This is definitely not normal.

Okay everyone, need some help here. I got my 2014 Bennche Bighorn 700 from my father inlaw. He has had it since new and as far as I know never had any problems with it until recently. It began with it being hard to start and having to give it some throttle for it to start up. Then it wouldn't stay running once it did start. If you go to start it, it will fire right off and only run for a split second and then die. If you give it some throttle it will start and stay running as long as your foot is on the pedal. While it's running its pretty rough and backfires. Here is a list of everything I've done so far. Initially I checked compression and it was low. I changed the cylinder, piston and rings. Took the head apart cleaned and laped the valves. Checked timing a few times. Adjusted the valves. New spark plug. Checked the air filter, it was fine. New battery. Changed the fuel pump because of a broken fitting. Changed the fuel filter, lines and fuel injector. Dumped the old fuel and put new in. Changed the air idle control, TPS, MAP sensor, Voltage Regulator, ECU and harness. I was getting codes 31, 107, 113 and 122 on the display. Once I changed the ECU no more codes have been displayed but still have the same issues. All fuses look good and as far as I can tell Grounds are good unless there are some I can't find. I'm at a loss here. Not really sure where to go. Compression was better after everything I did but I don't remember the numbers. I'll have to check it again if someone thinks that could be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Recently I had an overheating issue on my 2022 Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun UT550) and to check to make sure it was fixed I took it out for a ride around the block. After a couple cycles on the LED coolant meter, I took it for a couple mile ride and on my way back I heard a loud metallic snap then a grinding noise. It was still able to move under its own power but very slowly. I was about 2 blocks from the truck so 'I limped it home and up onto the trailer. I know I need to tear it apart and look for what broke, but anyone have a guess as to where to start? I'm seriously getting tired of this damn machine! 750 miles on it and already replaced the belt, wet clutch, primary clutch, clutch roller weights among a few other things. Seriously, this friggin machine has spent more time on the lift than on the road. I thought I bought this new because it was from the owner of a tractor supply, but he registered it under the stores name making me the 2nd owner voiding any and all warranties.
Any Ideas what to look for would be appreciated.
      Thanks
