I agree with Lenny and hope I haven't overstated the no see um problem, the jamboree was definitely a good time, in spite of the little pests, but I want to get set up for my other outings so I can further enjoy them. Wheres the next one gonna be. I'm looking at foggers, to kill off the pest, but may get the good bugs, mosquito traps, should get most blood sucker, and other things. I think at our jamboree campsite, a fogger would have worked real well, as there were no other insects that would have been effected, but in a mountain camp site, a fogger would kill off the dragonflys and the mosquito catching spiders and such. I'm thinking mosquito trap may be best, but it doesn't get the regular house flies that are a pain when in the mountains.

Think I'll start a new thread and copy this to there - Camping environment -

Other than deet and repellents, has any one tried any thing else?

Best thing to do is camp when the bugs are not out, like SPRING. Spring just after the last freeze and before the warm rains is a no bug time.

Hi Kinarfi how are you doing? I hope enjoying your trooper. I have something that works real good for them pesty bugs, believe it or not try 2 oz of listerine mouth wash in a spray bottle then fill the bottle up with water and just spray it all around your camp, problem solved !!! and if it doesnt work with the bugs that are there just make it stronger. It does work and works well. It works for me, let me know how it works for you ok?

And after spraying it around your campground open your mouth and give it one quick squirt. That does the opposite of keeping the bugs away, other people will come near you.(LOL)

Bath!! Whats that??

That's 30 MPH through a creek or stream or puddle of clear water, I'm sure there's a video in the forum to show you how it's done. Also practiced on hot days.

I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 I bought brand new almost 2 years ago the first month I had it the exhaust broke and burnt the spark plug wire in two that was a recall so the dealership installed the new one it had a different design and it bolted up to the bottom two plugs below the spark plug the dealership said they had to Adjust the exhaust valves I get the machine back thanking everything is good now wrong not even a week after I get it back the timing chain tensioner comes apart inside the motor I take it back to the dealership They put one on I get the machine back thanking everything is good but then just like before not even a week goes by when I was riding the Machine automatically quits going come to find out the wet clutch was burned up the primary clutch head stripped off of the splines I get that fixed and then  it overheats I take it back they bleed the air out of the coolant they bring it back to me the same day that I get it back it overheats again I take it back they temporarily fix it again just enough to let the warranty run out and now the machine has been to multiple different mechanics I have had them try to bleed the air out they have stood it up on its end I have had the water pump changed I have had the fan hooked to a switch so I could leave it on all the time but still almost 2 years later not even 200 hours on the machine and I cannot ride it The dealership will not take it back as a lemon I have tried I am at my wits end I have no clue what to try next

2002 ranger 500 4x4 stopped running and wouldn't restart. Service manual wiring diagram helped identify the hub safety switch as the culprit. Using jumper wires to bypass  switch allowed the engine to start and run normally. Inspection of switch showed melted epoxy and a strong smell of burnt electrical. Unable to find replacement part either used or new. Is there a work around other than jumper wiring?

      Hello everyone.
I recently bought a Can-Am Ryker and I'm looking to customize it with some accessories. I’ve seen a lot of options out there but wanted to get some recommendations from fellow riders.
What are the must-have accessories for comfort, style, or performance?
Specifically, I'm considering a windshield and better footpegs—are these worth the investment?
Also, any thoughts on storage solutions like saddlebags or rear cases?
Would love to hear your personal experiences with any mods you’ve done.

I got an old 2003 Arctic Cat 375 Auto, and just bought a 2008 AC 650 side by side. Got a new starter, solenoid, and battery for the 650. Gonna change the crankcase oil and filter while I'm at it.
Anything I oughta watch out for from them that's done the starter/solenoid on this model?
Don't have a manual yet for the 650. Any recommendations for oil weight/grade?
      Thanks.
