Hi everyone, hope everybody is well and having fun with their troopers. I was just wondering if any of the 2011 troopers made it to the dealers yet? or was it just talk?

Have only had to use mine once and it worked ! Problem was I was too far from a good anchor, LOL. Had to wait until a Jeep came along and let me hook to the back of him. Pulled me off the ledge, we were high-centered. This was during the early stage of ownership and still finding the limits. Now we would just crash over the same ledge. I don't even carry my wench with me anymore , just extra weight. Mine is the early that went into the hitch server in the front or rear.

Mine has saved my butt at least 4 times so far. Maybe should get a more powerful one. Nah, just clean and inspect this one and carry rope so I can reach the anchor point and always have the snatch block with me.

That's why I like mine the cable is 80' long and I have used mine about 25 to 30 times 50% of the time is pulling someone else out. Alot of VW rail buggys but I had to used it on the back to pull me out twice it is nice if you can used it in the front or back

G’day Dale and all my old mates that I haven’t spoke to in ages. Dale, nice photos of the new model Trooper. The amount of time and thought that has gone into the Trooper and Renegade upgrades by a few is massive. Some changers like the spare wheel mount, headlight and indicator relocations can be accredited to guys right here on UTV Boards and No Limits, but the hidden bugs and design faults that have been ironed out were mainly one mans work and a good job he has done. I know I’ve parted ways with Joyner, but I’ve still got the passion for the brand and hope that the Joyner manufactures make the RIGHT decisions for the future. I mean, just look at this 2011 Trooper, it’s a winner through and through.

Cheers Mike.

Thanks Rick & Roc. Rick, what’s this, a moderator now! Congrats mate and you are in good company. Yeah, it’s a bit strange as I have got out of the habit of going on the Joyner sites and UTV forum sites and are totally not up with the play anymore. I use to read every post on here religiously.

I’ve been busy looking at other opportunities and have even shot up into the South Pacific looking at the Cook Island Rental Car Industry. Rarotonga is a beautiful Island and a great place for a holiday. I went 4WD whilst there, talk about a blast as it was too much fun. I’m toying with an idea of importing another brand of UTV which is more like a Mini Jeep and it has the same Chery engine as a Joyner Renegade. In the States I think they call them a Sand Reeper, but out here I’ll rename them a SIKA RS. I’m also helping a Finnish car designer promote a new Roadster called a Norster 600R that was designed with the Rental Car Industry in mind where there are holiday hotspots, thus the trip to Rarotonga. Funny enough the Norster also has a Chery engine. Apart from that I’m working part time and still selling UTV Enclosures along with Lenny’s wife Jeanne. Jeanne is one very capable & professional lady and I’m very lucky to have her as a business partner, but for those of you that have meet her, you already know that.

Cheers Mike

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

As with any forum you join, there is a requirement for an obligatory introduction... and that seems fair. How else do you get that first post in there without jumping in with some stupid question right out of nowhere?

Hi. I'm Space Ghost. Well, not really, but that was my call sign on my last deployment before an IED made me non-deployable, and I an now retired/disabled, and living on my wonderful VA disability. I did almost 28 years in total between the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. 1 deployment with the Reserve (Desert Storm) and 3 with the Guard (1 pre, and 2 post 9/11)

Married (going on 30 years) one of each. (both out of the nest)

My vehicle is (at least not yet) not a UTV, however, it is an ATV, A 2001 Kawasaki Prairie 400.

BTW, That's Brandy, my former PTS/TBI service dog on the bike. RIP old girl. She's internet famous. Perhaps you've seen her before...

The reason I'm here is that Arthritis is starting to set into my wounds and my mobility is getting worse. I will be selling the quad bike soon, and going with a SXS, and have selected a Can Am model as the replacement, so I figured I had better get on board a forum somewhere. Just put in for my Guard retirement, and will be very soon looking to get into a Commander 6x6.

Wouldn't mind having the Limited with the Hvac system, but am really not sure it's worth the extra 10 grand or not. Plus it's 500 pounds heavier, and I prefer the doors off in nice weather. It's so much easier when working in the yard, and so much more fun when on the trail.

Anyway, I'm here now, so it will help me research more and make up my mind. Plus once I have it, I'll be able to share stories about it and of course, continue to learn more, as it will be my 1st sxs. Still have time before I get my retirement. Takes a good 90 days at least according to the guy I talked to... Typical government efficiency... lol.

Hi everyone. I am new here to the forum and am excited to learn from all of you with more experience than me with UTVs. Our Axis750 we use on the hobby farm started to have some issues going into gear. Yes, foot is on the brake and completely stopped as required with these machines. I thought it was the linkage and adjusted it to where it is accurately shifting with the engine off and key in the on position. I start the engine and it won't shift gears (yes foot is on the brake). I thought maybe it was the shift lever teeth so I opened the assembly and this picture shows what I just found. I assume this means the wet clutch would need replaced too while draining and flushing the oil. What else should I consider or be looking at? Any idea what could cause this? I don't see visible leaks or cracks in the system anywhere. Thanks in advance for the help!
