750 will not shift into gears

Recommended Posts

My father-in-laws 750 hisun will not change gears unless he completely turns the motor off then shifts.  I thought it might be a brake problem but he thought clutch.  He took it to a jackleg down the road and he basically charged him $300 and did not fix a thing.  Any ideas would be useful because he really can’t afford throwing money at it.

You can only change gears while stopped with foot on the brake.   Not sure if that answers your question but that's the way these things are designed?  I have the Axis Pro 750 and have found they have to be treated gently,   Great body, but the engine and transmission is not very good quality.

You didn't mention year or model, however, Sector 750s require the idle speed to be around 1600rpm or lower to move gear selector into desired position. If the idle speed is to high you will NOT be able to engage a different gear.

Definitely not the problem.  I wondered how the machine “knows” if you have your foot on the brake?  Sensor, relay, or mechanical device?

My 2018 Hisun sector crew engine cut off after about 15 minutes run. There is no indicator of what is wrong, no error code just die and won't restart until it cool down. I notice that the fan is not running but the temp indicator is on low temp, no overheat indicator. I checked the radiator fluid, it is cool to touch.
Cooling fans are working, I can hear it running once awhile if I can get the engine warm up enough.  Thank you for all the help.

Twice my hisun has been driven a few miles and turned off back at home. Get back on it same afternoon and console is dead, no lights.
Have 12.7 vdc at battery and fuses are good. I hear relays click in the fuse box and main relay clicks but everything is dead.
Any ideas on what this may be? I've seen this problem before on this forum but it never finished.
Any help is always appreciated. Thanks in advance!

      Hi All,
I picked up an old beat up 2010 American Sportworks Bull Dog 300 BD300.  I would like to restore her...  Does anyone know a good source for parts other than the OEM?  I find $130 for brake pads is kind of unreasonable... I also need a steering rack and other things... I took apart the steering rack and it needs a new bearing and oil seal... Of course the OEM only sells the complete rack for over $200..  I found the correct bearing for $6.00. I am having trouble finding the correct oil seal..
Anyone that has info on one of these machines, please chime in...  I am used to the ease of finding info on Polaris, Honda, Can Am, Kawasaki, etc.....,  Info and parts on these seems to be scarce..  Some of the parts on it look like Golf Cart parts as well as some look like Go Kart parts..

Hello, I have a 2013 500 utv hisun. Was running ok and cut out while parked. Bike will not start now. It turns over, but won't fire. I have no spark and no fuel. I replaced fuel pump, ignition coil, spark plug, cdi, voltage rectifier and all the fuses and relays. Could bad stater cause no fuel because I can't hear the fuel pump priming. Any info on where to start looking for problem.
