You should have the "upgraded" brakes on the 2009. Early 2008's had smaller rotors. The brakes still stink though. I upgraded my front calipers with brembo dual pistons with some improvement. Lenny has had the most success. He added an extra caliper in front. My next step will be to go to smaller master cylinders and try that. We have a automotive size master cylinders pushing ATV size brakes (too much volme, not enough pressure).

Rocmoc was going to switch his brake lines around so they are not criss-crossing, but I haven't heard if he has done that yet or the results.

I have my brakelines switched, 2 fronts on one master and 2 rear on the other. works good. I guess with the stock setup that if you were in 4x4 full lock out and one master cylinder went bad, you would still have brakes on all 4 wheels and you wouldn't be in 4x4 full lock unless you were trying to climb steep (or in mud) so this would make some sense. Switching the brakes would eliminate this marginal advantage plus 2 brakes won't stop it anyway. I have my parking brake on the driveshaft so I do have all 4 wheels braking if I'm in 4x4. Even if both of my masters go out, I still have good braking. Two calipers on each wheel is fairly easy and gives a lot better braking.

See the "Joyner Trooper dragging brakes" post for pictures of my brake setup.

My wife accidentally ran the Axis 500 into a fence and tore the front end up (broke her arm too). Just wondering where the best place to get front end parts? I know she busted the knuckle but haven’t jacked it up yet. Thanks guys for any help!

I have the factory service manual available for the Buck 400. Just send me a message with your email and I'll get it to you. Although there is no charge for this, it would be great if  you would visit my website where you could donate any amount to help do things like this with others who need it. Again, there is no charge for this manual, and no obligation to donate. But if you did, I would thank you for sure. Have fun on the trails. www.warriorsoffroad.com

Maybe members can post where they have obtained parts and service for their Hisun produced UTVs and ATVs, including the Coleman lines.  Maybe post the model you have, what you bought,  and how the products were quality wise.  Also if you had any shop service done, where (city & state) and how it worked out for you.
