Hope everyboidy has a great New Year. I've enjoyed everyone here and feel privileged to be apart of one of the great forums on the internet.. Thank you all. This year sets the stage for our fourth Jamboree. I've enjoyed each and every one and I think everyone else has too. We've had some great scenry and fun trails and then there is the comradery and the pleasure of meeting others with simular interest. This years should be as good as the others. I hope that everybody that can comes out even if only for a day. Come on and support the Western Joyner Jamboree. You don't have to have a Joyner to join us.

Lenny,

I to would like to wish all a very safe and Happy New Year.Wish all could make it to this years jamboree as you said,I am sure it will be enjoyable.Just came back after spending 2 1/2 days there mapping out some trails. I put about 350 on the trooper during that time and one day alone we put over 120 miles on it following one trail(LONG DAY).

Do use a GPS and if so, do you save your tracks? If you have a .gpx file from your ride, I would like to see it.

Did you get the Lowrance you asked me aboutthat is simular to mine. Mine will take a SD memory card but I havn't used it yet. There should be a way to move the files to that and then load them onto a computer.

Detbohica, we could set up a track for you to race around at the Jamboree if that would help.

As with any forum you join, there is a requirement for an obligatory introduction... and that seems fair. How else do you get that first post in there without jumping in with some stupid question right out of nowhere?

Hi. I'm Space Ghost. Well, not really, but that was my call sign on my last deployment before an IED made me non-deployable, and I an now retired/disabled, and living on my wonderful VA disability. I did almost 28 years in total between the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. 1 deployment with the Reserve (Desert Storm) and 3 with the Guard (1 pre, and 2 post 9/11)

Married (going on 30 years) one of each. (both out of the nest)

Just picked up my first side by side a couple days ago. A 2020 Can-Am Defender HD10 DPS 6x6.

It's in pretty good shape, but as you can probably tell, it's sitting a bit high. Former owner put a lifting collar on the shocks.

The good = almost 17" of ground clearance. (30" tires)
The bad = incredibly steep driveline angles, and a pretty stiff ride.

      They will be coming off.

Other than that... clean as a pin and appears very well maintained.

Looking forward to seeing what this forum can bring, and hoping I can bring something in return.

      Hello All...
Just bought a 2014 Massimo 500 UTV.  It;s not running at the moment, but hopefully will soon.  I need a seat for it also (passenger side, if it makes any difference.)  It is a crank-but no start situation.  Just now starting to read the boards for solutions.  Apparently these models are well known for this issue.  If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

I have a Coleman HS400UTV-5 got it manly for hunting and spending time with the grandkids
The one problem I am trying to avoid. My son borrowed it last summer and said it ran hot so he added water to it . I do not know how much he put in so I would like to drain most of it and add new coolant to protect it this winter. I can find no drain cock or any way of draining it besides loosening a hose.  Any suggestions ????

I have a Coleman Outfitter 550 purchased in January 2022 that runs and operates pretty well.  65 hours on it so far.   It is a work vehicle for my 10 hilly acres with two 1 acre woods and 5 acres of "lawn".  The rest is under a lake.
My parking brake does not seem to have any grip.  It worked when new but after a month or so, it is just almost useless.     I press the parking brake pedal hard until it stops. Still, it won't hold even on slight inclines.   I don't see the caliper move as I press the brake pedal down.  There seems to be plenty of pad left on it and the rotor is shiny as if it is rubbing a little when applied, but not enough to stop it from rolling.
      Any thoughts on possible causes?
