I just bought a 1994 Mule KAF450 b-1 and when I got it home found that it popped out of forward gear. I'm waiting for a manual to help troubleshoot it but think that the cause may be the shifting dogs on the shuttle shifter and the forward gear are rounded off. Anyone had any experience with this type problem? I'm not sure if those parts are still available and if not may try to weld the parts and reshape them to rebuild the dogs.

Thanks...

Will,

I went thru a similar predicament, but mine was a broken internal case where the shifter shaft went thru the top of the case. I tried welding it but that didn't work because the hole was too elongated. If I had access to a milling machine it could've been bored straight and had a bushing inserted. My gears were in fine shape...it was just not able to shift into place due to the sloppy shaft. One other critical issue is that you get the idle down below 900 RPM or it won't want to drop into gear. The driven clutch is spinning over pretty fast to slide those gears into place if the idle is too high. These things will idle down to nothing if the carb is clean, etc. You may adjust the shifter cable to put more pressure on the cable. Unfortunately, it "pushes" the cable into forward, while pulling it into reverse. You can adjust it to a point where it won't clear the nuetral notch in the dashboard if you go too far. It also won't start, as it needs to sense the nuetral shifter position. I did have to replace my cable, as it was too wippy and wouldn't push the shifter shaft into the proper position.

Good Luck!

I was randomly and briefly able to connect to my Coleman UTV 400s ECU the other day twice and haven't been able to since.  When I was able to access it, I found the following codes and wondered if anyone may know where I should start or what I should look at?
P0031 - O2 Sensor Heater Control Voltage Low
P0107 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometer Pressure Voltage Low
P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor Voltage High
P0118 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Voltage High
P0650 - Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) failure

I have  a bulldog i bought from home depot in 2013.  In the last season it started refusing to shift from neutral to either forward or reverse.  I changed the trans axle fluid and made sure the cables were lubricated and free.  With a lot of coaxing, I can sometimes get it to shift.  once I start driving it, things improve until I let it set awhile.   Any suggestion on where to go from here?

Hello, we recently got a 2013 Hisun 800 as a little project for my husband and I to work on. Turns out the guys before us loved the mud anyway. We have replaced the stator and now going to do the Rectifier but here is the hold up as seen in the picture. There are tons of wires going to the battery. I cant seem to find anything that shows what wires should, or shouldn't be attached to the battery or where these 2 plugs go. if someone would please take some pics or share knowledge to where they go I would appreciate it greatly.

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone pressure washes their Mule underbody. Three years in, I have yet to do this. I'm worried that the pressure washer could damage or dislodge something but it's gotten to the point that it could use a bath. Any thoughts?

My dad has recently acquired a 2510 Kawasaki mule Diesel powered. It worked fine  few weeks and then quit driving. Put a new belt on just to see. Still not driving. It already had a new clutch. Belt turns when in drive or reverse and back wheels are off ground to test. But wheels not turning. Thoughts?
