Hello, having trouble with a couple of gauges. I replaced 3 gauges. Oil,fuel, and water temp that gave out the same time. After replacing gauges I noticed now that my speed won't move when I'm driving. Only cycle when I turn key on. And my oil gauge goes all the way up when I turn key on. I think the sensor might be bad. Any idea on the problem I'm having? Tks.

Never had any replys on my problems with my renegade. Found that my oil sending unit was bad. I replaced it and now works. Speed gauge still won't work. Think it might be speed sensor.

I assume you don't an oscilloscope, how about a volt meter that can read frequency, does you tach work? can you swap the plug going to you tach with the speedo plug and see if the input to the tach makes the speedo move as you rev the engine up & down.

I pulled the speed sensor it looked ok. Sensor still might be bad. Wish I had one to try. For the speed gauge and rpm, when I turn key on the two gauges cycles back and forth showing it works I guess. I thought it be weard that my oil gauge and pressure sending unit, fuel and sending unit , temp gauge give out the same time. All gauges work fine now after replacing them. Just the speed gauge left to fix. Like to have a speed sensor to try to see if that's the trouble.

I have replaced about half my gauges with aftermarket ones, as the stock ones don't last. I bought dual gauges (Pointer/with digital readout) and it's been 8 months, constant riding and no problems.

I wish there was a place close to me for parts. When I need parts I need to order it and it takes a week to get it. And no one around me don't know anything about my renegade and don't want to work on it. So I just try to fix it myself. Learned alot by it.

I have the same issue bud. There's only one good mechanic in all of panama, haha, and he happens to live close to me. But I love tinkering with my machine, so I try to do everything myself.

As for parts, I mail order everything in, and it comes out pretty good. Ebay is my big source for generic stuff, and joyner US for the rest.

Don't feel bad guys, I'm in west central Illinois and I have the same parts service as you do! So far I've mastered my repairs, but I admit no wiring problems. If the diagrams I have are any good, between my son and I, we should get it!

Recently, my unit Axis 500 (2020) will only go into reverse and neutral. I am not able to get high or low. The engine itself sounds fine and I do not have other issues on this unit. I change the engine oil but have not yet changed the gear oil.
Before this happened I occasionally encountered issue where going from reverse to high gear, it would grind some and i had to reposition to shift into high gear. I also for last couple weeks heard a squeaking sound. I couldn't tell what it was. Was looking for a grease point I missed.
The unit has around 70 hours and is kept in the garage.
Anyone else encounter this type of scenario? Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be appreciated. Thanks.

Picked up an essentially new 2022 UT400 with 9 miles on it.  Decided to change the oil because it's probably never been done.  Pulled the dipstick and noticed it was overfull then went and pulled the drain plug and took off the filter and it was like brown water running out.  What should I start checking?

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..
