Time for an update. First I added a pic to my gallery. The pic shows the following: My Jeep is a '70 CJ5 and they never had a fiberglass top for the CJ5. But in the late 70's a company named Acme came out with an aftermarket top, a great one! They are rare in the West & Southwest but can be found in the mid-west & east (snow country for winter use). There are changes that have to happen. A late 70's - early 80's windshieldframe has to be installed and a roll bar from the same time frame. I bought a '78 parts Jeep last year and kept the parts I needed & sold the rest. THEN I was lucky enough to see a Hard Top on Craigslist in Albuquerque, NM for a crazy cheap price. Luckily I have a really great friend that lives there. I bought it from the pics and my buddy picked it up. He stored if for a couple of months until I could pic it up last week. Installed it over the weekend and man o man am I PLEASED! Just what I wanted. Have not installed the doors yet as a couple of hinges are missing. Already working on that! Also installed the new/rebuilt trans & transfer case last week, now I have an overdrive an this setup had a Warn Overdrive. Trying to get that great mileage. I am not going to even worry about how it looks until next summer as the only thing important to me now is reliablity. It is going to Mexico twice this winter. Looking Good!

By NEXT summer, my little Jeep will have AC. Summer just gets too hot around here without having AC to fall back on.

UPDATE: Got the doors & rear window installed yesterday just before we were hit by a Monsoonal Thunder Storm. Would have fill her with water, another reason for the Hard Top.

Lol i hear you about the ac its a great luxury to have! I thought soft top did just as good for keeping rain out but i never had jeep or any soft top for my trooper yet so i don't really know. I hope you got good seal between the body and the hard top to keep the cold in and water and heat out lol....aren't you worried about the drug war going on in Mexico with i think the short "el chapo"?

Always funny to hear the opinion of someone that lives far away from Mexico about the drug wars. As an American I have lived the last ten years in Mexico, it is no different than the states. I was raised in Michigan, what about Detroit , I lived in So Cal for years many neighborhoods I would ever go into.

I'm just saying don't believe only the 2-3 stories you hear per year on TV. Mexico has its challenges like the USA with safety in large cities, Mexico also is not afraid to put it on Public TV either, the lay down the gruesome facts.

      Does anyone have any suggestions for aftermarket shocks.  I have a T-Boss 550 and took it riding in some rough trails and the stock suspension was uncomfortably rough.

      I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 I bought brand new almost 2 years ago the first month I had it the exhaust broke and burnt the spark plug wire in two that was a recall so the dealership installed the new one it had a different design and it bolted up to the bottom two plugs below the spark plug the dealership said they had to Adjust the exhaust valves I get the machine back thanking everything is good now wrong not even a week after I get it back the timing chain tensioner comes apart inside the motor I take it back to the dealership They put one on I get the machine back thanking everything is good but then just like before not even a week goes by when I was riding the Machine automatically quits going come to find out the wet clutch was burned up the primary clutch head stripped off of the splines I get that fixed and then  it overheats I take it back they bleed the air out of the coolant they bring it back to me the same day that I get it back it overheats again I take it back they temporarily fix it again just enough to let the warranty run out and now the machine has been to multiple different mechanics I have had them try to bleed the air out they have stood it up on its end I have had the water pump changed I have had the fan hooked to a switch so I could leave it on all the time but still almost 2 years later not even 200 hours on the machine and I cannot ride it The dealership will not take it back as a lemon I have tried I am at my wits end I have no clue what to try next

      Recently I had an overheating issue on my 2022 Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun UT550) and to check to make sure it was fixed I took it out for a ride around the block. After a couple cycles on the LED coolant meter, I took it for a couple mile ride and on my way back I heard a loud metallic snap then a grinding noise. It was still able to move under its own power but very slowly. I was about 2 blocks from the truck so 'I limped it home and up onto the trailer. I know I need to tear it apart and look for what broke, but anyone have a guess as to where to start? I'm seriously getting tired of this damn machine! 750 miles on it and already replaced the belt, wet clutch, primary clutch, clutch roller weights among a few other things. Seriously, this friggin machine has spent more time on the lift than on the road. I thought I bought this new because it was from the owner of a tractor supply, but he registered it under the stores name making me the 2nd owner voiding any and all warranties.
      Any Ideas what to look for would be appreciated.

      I added lights to the Coleman Outfitter 550 last fall.   I bought lights on line from Nilight, a 300 W  12" light bar mounted forward and 2 square 4" floods for the rear.  Those are mounted on the roof corners facing rear and downward just beyond the tailgate.  Nilights seem to be of high quality, as I've had them on my garden tractor for 5 years and still flood the way ahead with great light. 
      Both the front and rear lights provide amazing illumination making the OEM headlamps look like parking lights.  Made a connector for the front bar that plugs into existing headlamp switch so it is just part of that circuit controlled by the headlamp switch.   Rear work lamps were wired in using a rocker switch installed in the dash.  Backed up to the garden with the work lights and was able to harvest some tomatoes well past sunset. 
      What have you used if anything for auxiliary lighting on your UTV?
