As of recent my 4wd stopped working, when turned on it comes on when it wants to or doesn’t come on at all.

When trying to climb something in 4wd you can hear a loud click/clung every little bit, I assume it’s the 4wd trying to engage. Sometimes it comes on/off/on/off all during one hill climb.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

assuming Renli has the same front end as a trooper, here's a few possibilities

1 could be a bad switch or connection not supplying power. do you hear the motor in the box run for a second or 2 every time you switch it?

2 the black box that's bolted to your front diff has water in it, remove it, stick a nail or something in the hole and activate, see if it moves in and out, open it up and inspect. report finding, how much water have you been in?

3 the teeth of the gear that slides over the other gears to lock in the front may be worn and have a burr on then on them, you may have to open up the diff. do 1 & 2 and let us know what you find, photos help.

May I suggest you fill out the profile so we can get to know you better, maybe there's some one just a block or two away that would want to help you.

1. When you say hear the motor in the box run what do you mean, the black box bolted in front? After being in 4wd for about a minute the black box starts beeping really loud. When I shut it off it goes away and if I put back in 4wd it comes back after a minute.

2. I just put a new black box on my Renli last week hoping that was the problem, didn't seam to help.

3. This will have to be my last resort, I don't want to open the diff.

sorry to hear that is it under warrenty??

Yes it is, however I don't have a trailer right now to get it into a shop. I was hoping it could be something easy but after talking with JMC it looks like it will need some parts to be replaced.

Beeping? you must have something different than I do, mine has a motor that drives a gear the pushes a pin and when it reaches the end, it's supposed to stop. the electronic inside don't like water and the box doesn't seem to seal well and leaks which destroys the insides.

The Renli's have 2 electronic parts to the 4wd system, one is a little black box that sends the signal to the electric motor on the diff. When there is a malfunction with the 4wd the box "beeps" to let you know there is something wrong.

I replaced the box that send the signal, that didn't solve my issue. It is most likely the electric motor on the diff, when I put it in 4wd the motor doesn't do anything or make any sounds so I'm assuming it's dead or only works sometimes.

went to jmc.com and looked up the 2wd-4wd controller, definitely different than my set up. FYI, it's on the last page under electrical parts.

PS, don't throw the dead unit away, I would like to do an autopsy on it, see if it's something I can fix.

      Hi
I have a 2022 hisun sector eps 550. 30amp fuse is blown for eps. Checked the motor and it’s fine. Opened up the controller and found a bad diode. Dealer wanted 500$ for the controller. Just posting this in case it helps someone. I couldn’t read numbers from the old one so just took a guess and replaced it with a 100v 3amp diode.

the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal

hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.

      Hello everyone.
I recently bought a Can-Am Ryker and I'm looking to customize it with some accessories. I’ve seen a lot of options out there but wanted to get some recommendations from fellow riders.
What are the must-have accessories for comfort, style, or performance?
Specifically, I'm considering a windshield and better footpegs—are these worth the investment?
Also, any thoughts on storage solutions like saddlebags or rear cases?
Would love to hear your personal experiences with any mods you’ve done.

Recently I had an overheating issue on my 2022 Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun UT550) and to check to make sure it was fixed I took it out for a ride around the block. After a couple cycles on the LED coolant meter, I took it for a couple mile ride and on my way back I heard a loud metallic snap then a grinding noise. It was still able to move under its own power but very slowly. I was about 2 blocks from the truck so 'I limped it home and up onto the trailer. I know I need to tear it apart and look for what broke, but anyone have a guess as to where to start? I'm seriously getting tired of this damn machine! 750 miles on it and already replaced the belt, wet clutch, primary clutch, clutch roller weights among a few other things. Seriously, this friggin machine has spent more time on the lift than on the road. I thought I bought this new because it was from the owner of a tractor supply, but he registered it under the stores name making me the 2nd owner voiding any and all warranties.
Any Ideas what to look for would be appreciated.
      Thanks
