Hey guys,

New to the forum and new to having a Mule. I just bought a new 2012 Mule 4010 Trans Diesel and I'm doing some retro fitting. I have a 70yr old father that has some handicap issues and I'm looking at modifying my Mule to be visually remote controlled when he goes hunting. He can drive the Mule away from his stand or duck blind, as not to alert his game.

I'm working through a number of issues relative to throttle, steering, braking, and of course safety. One issue that I'm trying to avoid is building servo control of the shift mechanism. Since a Mule will not start while in gear, unlike a Polaris Ranger that has start bypass by pressing on the brake, I'm wondering is there an easy way to do this. I need for the ability to drive it some short distance 1/4 mile maybe, turn it off, hunt for the day, remote start, and drive it back. For safety, the brakes will be actuated when in remote control until I send a command to release the brake. This way if I lose comm, then a spring will naturally apply brake and stop the unit. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to bypass the starting safety to allow me to apply brake, start the Mule which is already in Low gear, release brake, and apply throttle and drive back to the controller.

I just acquired the Service Manual from Kawasaki, but curious if I would hurt the Mule mechanically by doing this?

Appreciate any advice....

My first thought (for safety sake) is to always have the system in full brake until it receives command to move, this way if it loses comm the vehicle doesn't go off in free run, it will stop till it gains comm again.

Riding out today it acted like it ran out of gas,  stalled and died and would not start.   Towed back to house,  New  plug added this past month,  plenty of oil, getting plenty of gas, battery cranks good.   Trys to kick in and starts but doesnt.   Two days prior while sitting at a idle it died.  Added gas and it started did my ranch chores with it.  But just now it stalled out cranks but will not start.   Tried to find if fault codes came up on the clock like manual says but not sure I am doing that right.  Any and all help apprecated.  Thank you

I have a Bobcat 2200 Diesel (built by Club Car) with a 2-weight Team Primary Clutch I want to rebuild, possibly replace. The clutch has an annoying rattling sound at idle and appears the rollers and weights are worn and loose. When I opened it up, everything looks clean and in great shape. It's just that all the moving rollers and weights seem to have way too much play in them, possibly causing the noise. I've searched for clearance and torque specifications with no luck at all. The UTV has less than 500 hours on it.  Any ideas?

I have purchased a used Supermach700 (2008), It runs great after a new choke cable but. The temp sensor on the thermostat house is unhooked and can not find where it plugs back in. The fan has been un hooked from the sensor in the rad and cant figure out how it goes back together properly.  The fan was wired to a by pass switch and i just always leave it on but would like to work it properly. I assume the sensor went bad and not changed.

      any help would be great.

      thanks

      Hi All,
New here, but bought a 2022 Sector 750 brand new last march (old stock up here in Canada)
It's a good bike so far, but I have noticed a quirk and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?

The issue I've had is if I leave the utv parked on any incline, not even a major incline, and leave it to sit for a while (day or two) it will not start properly. It will turn over and not fire until I press the gas pedal, when it will run and rev up, but if I let off the gas it will die. It will keep doing this until I either start it in gear and drive it for a bit or leave it in neutral and roll it down the hill to flatter ground. where it will have to sit for a while.
If I park it on a decline there is no issue. fuel is not low, it's occurred a couple times now.

Any thoughts on the cause of this? Dealership just says bring it in and let them take a look, at my expense of course.
