I'll get right to the issue in the hopes someone else has come across this:

on my T2 1100 (20,000 miles on original clutch), driving up a climb in third gear, power is interrupted as if there's a missing tooth on the gear or the spline is worn down and the gear slips. I hear no grinding. Just a sudden power 'hiccup'.

Neither seems likely, but I can't explain the issue.

Checked:

differentials. changed the oil, no metal pieces and oil runs clean. Nothing on drain plug magnets. I will be doing the same to transmission oil...

This happens on 4x4. Not sure if it happens on 2 wheel drive, as i usually run it always on 4x4

Has anyone had splines strip, or issues with third gear?

OUTPUT SHAFT

I know of issues where the end has sheared off. Are the new output shafts supplied by joyner better?

If I have to open the tranny, might as well replace that too...

Anything else I ahould replace now that I'm at it?

Thanks to all for any recommendations...

hey Tinman...not sure how much I can help,Ive never run into your situation (yet) I cant think of anything yet that would cause a power "hiccup" only in 1 gear..I would definitely check/change transmission oil and see what that tells you...have had a couple of 3-4 shift forks fail,(not in mine) but that normally would mean a no shift situation (maybe yours bent/cracked???..altho have never seen it)..as for the new joyner output shafts..I dont believe anyones claimed they are "better" however if you choose to install new ones...at least you know they've have 20,000 less miles of stress on them...I too recommend that people run in 4wd most/all of the time..I believe it lessens the amount of stress on the machine(output shafts,u joints, axles etc)

...just my 3 cents...Hardy

How are your synchros, If and when I get into mine again, I'll definitely change out all my synchro but 3re gear is bad enough to give me a reason to get into it, and some, mainly Lenny, says to beef up the throw out bearing arm.

Thanks Hardy and Kinarfi.

2nd gear is ok but not great. I have to give it a half-second, but when I do, it doesn't grind. Everything shifts fine, which is weird. I'll keep looking. we're usually out every week in th mountains, and wife gets antsy when something pops up...

I'll post the issue once I find it

I've had a Hisun Vector E1 for just a bit longer than is required for me to do some maintenance. While it's well-overdue, it only drives 1.5km a few times each week on a fairly decent gravel road (to the letterbox), and it has worked really well right from the get-go.
Looking at the manual it states that I need to use SAE80 API GL-4 Hypoid Gear Oil for the Main gear Case, and SAE80 API GL-5 Hypoid Gear Oil for the Front gear Case - unfortunately i can't find either of those online here in Australia. Plenty of options that look close, but, as someone who has never driven any vehicle before, I want to use the right thing and it's a tad confusing.
My question: Since there are no oils that are bang on SAE80 (they all seem to cover a range) would Liqui Moly Hypoid GL4 Gear Oil 80W-90  & Motorex Hypoid GL-5 Gear Oil 80W90 - be ok to use? (Or any other suggestions of what I might be able to purchase online in Australia) And would I have to drain out any existing oil from both gear cases?
This is a whole new world for me and  being able to find exactly what is specified in the manual hasn't made this easy!

      Hi
I have a 2022 hisun sector eps 550. 30amp fuse is blown for eps. Checked the motor and it’s fine. Opened up the controller and found a bad diode. Dealer wanted 500$ for the controller. Just posting this in case it helps someone. I couldn’t read numbers from the old one so just took a guess and replaced it with a 100v 3amp diode.

the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal

hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me

We recently purchased the Axis x550. Fueled it with 93 fuel and drove one time around the farm and the 02 fault error appeared. Any ideas?
