I did see one other topic mentioning shocks but the only solutions were adding weight.

My father in law has an old 550 Mule. The shocks are pretty beat. Since it's old and farm use we aren't wanting to sink a lot of $ in it. Does anyone know of any more cost effective shocks (small car or truck), anything like that?

Just trying to help him out. - guess should mention looking at rears.

Have you tried to find, used parts? A quick Google search turns up several places that provide used parts for the mule. As far as using the shocks from a small car go. Finding the smallest possible size, would still be pretty big. Maybe from a golf cart, would open up more possibilities.

Go to this website: Kawasaki Partshouse, BABBITTS ONLINE.

Shocks are $389  for 2. Brand new OEM. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT  use a place called. PARTZILLA just a scam...

Do you know what year model it is??

Haven't got a side by side yet, but have been shopping.
Any advice welcome & I am on a limited budget, so haven't decided yet on new or used.

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

Does anyone have any suggestions for aftermarket shocks.  I have a T-Boss 550 and took it riding in some rough trails and the stock suspension was uncomfortably rough.
      Thanks

I need a pair of front shocks for a Landpride Treker 4200NT, from 2005?  Does anyone know of a good salvage yard - or another source?
The old shocks have "SEBAC 11685 12 3" stamped on them (or something very close - it's hard to read). I think SEBAC are (were?) an Italian company.
Is there a compatible shock I can use? I don't have easy access to a scrap yard where I can compare shocks etc.
      Thanks,
      -Kim
