2016 Wells, UTV Rally

6/9-12th/2016

Registration will be limited to the first 100 paid registrants. This is our second year of organizing this event. Because we are feeding all paid participants 3 dinners starting with Thursday night on 6/9 , and this is our second year of organizing this event with the BLM, we are limiting the registrations.

Registration fees will be $125 per person. This includes the rides, the three dinners at the City Park, and an event T-shirt. The Saturday night dinner will be a nice steak dinner with all the trimmings, an awards banquet with door prizes and a 50/50 ticket raffle.

Routes will be available with ride leaders and tailgunners with gps downloads available, maps are not available, but will be posted on boards with loops highlighted on them. I will post information about purchasing the correct maps on the website. Please remember to bring applicable cables necessary to down load routes to your gps unit. All files are from Garmin Mapsource. We have worked on adding rides to the rally this year. These include some trail head rides which require the ability to transport your utv to the ride location. This means having your vehicle and a trailer in most cases to get you out to these locations. We have tent camping and motel options for those who wish to do these more remote rides. We have also added some loops available from town and shorter in duration for an easy day.

In NV, UTVs are allowed on some state roads, not on US highways. It is recommended that all occupants of UTVs wear helmets and utilize their seatbelts. It is also recommended that all parties or groups are equipped with cell phones, at least one SPOT satellite receiver, and or a satellite phone. You will be given all applicable emergency contact numbers. We will have ride leaders with handheld radios and cb radios in most cases.

NV is different than many areas because we are a mostly federal lands state. This lack of private land allows us great access to our outdoors. As such this is a BLM permitted event. Please respect our public lands and leave little or no sign of your passing. Surely, if you pack it in, you can pack it out. Please leave any gates the way you found them. Keep your UTV on existing roads and trails. Because it is a BLM permitted ride, there could be personnel looking for spark arrestors.

Wells has several motels. That info will be listed on our website. The same for our local RV Campgrounds.

Fees can be paid via PayPal, personal or cashiers check sent in.

Mail to: We Ride, LLC

PO Box 247, Wells, NV 89835

This is an interesting read. ADAS is main stream on cars these days. The technology looks to be headed towards UTVs and Off-Road Vehicles.
Potential Motors and CFMOTO USA have announced a new partnership to integrate advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) into recreational off-road vehicles for the first time.
Sam Poirier, CEO and co-founder at Potential Motors, says the integration of its technology into CFMOTO’s vehicles will set new standards in the side-by-side segment. (Photo: Potential Motors Inc.) The partnership will first see Potential’s tech integrated into CFMOTO test vehicles. The companies will conduct extensive real-world testing at Potential’s purpose-built off-road proving ground in Fredericton, Canada, and CFMOTO facilities.

starts up you have keep rpms up for 5 minutes till it warms up then runs fine. But if it stalls wont start unless you unplug fuel pump and hold it to the floor till it starts then plug pump back in and run it till it warms up then it is fine all day.

      Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a UTV windshield that can withstand extreme conditions, including high winds, dust, and off-road impacts.
I’ve seen a lot of options out there, but I’m unsure which one will provide the best protection and durability.
Does anyone have experience with windshields that excel in these environments? Are there specific brands or materials you recommend?
I’m particularly interested in options that offer both durability and clarity.
Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
