We use a slap hammer. But if that dose not work use a heavy duty tie strap and wrap it around the inner joint.Hook other end to trailing arm and tighten as tight as you can. Then put 2 pry bars between the C/V and the diff and hammer the pry bar down.Putting as much force as you can and try to hammer the c/v out back and forth try to tighten the tie strap down some more as tight as you can. Then hammer the pry bars down some more and see what happens.Let me know.Let me know.

Thanks Rich

Here's another method for those of us that don't have a slide hammer, put the chain on as shown and with some slack in the chain, give it a yank, roll it around a bit and try it again, roll a bit more and repeat, again and again,

any idea of how the damage around the pinion gear happened? when mine did that kind of damage, the shaft for the spider gears had slid out a ways because the set screw that holds it in had backed out.

I used to have a bunch of photos of how to fix that problem and other stuff too. but I have no idea where I stored them.

Good luck man.

I have a rear diff. that has the big bearing and side cover ruined, but everything else is OK. If your interested in it for $200.00 plus shipping let me know. This diff has had the update done to it already. I will send pictures if interested.

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

in desperate need of a rear differential for my 2014 wildcat 1000. It has blown up right in the midst of the hurricane that struck us here in N/W N.C. I could really use this machine right now. No luck finding this from Artic Cat or the many numerous online vendors. Any info or resources wil be greatly appreciated !

When we first heard the noise, we immediately stopped driving it...at first we thought it might be a linkage issue, but after further inspection looks like the sound/jolting is coming from the rear diff. Took a video below...
Anyone know what is creating the diff to skip/jump like this? We drained the diff oil and didn't look terrible, no metal.
Other info that may be useful:
      1400 miles on it
      Recently tightened the E brake
P.s. never posted on this forum before, let me know if the video does not work
