Thanks everyone.

I WAS down with a cold so have not been on the computer much.

Flatbed, we are both going in the same direction. What is the dia. of the paddles. I have been looking at 13.00 x 15 as the specs show the dia as 30". That would make it possible to run 4wd with a 30" tire up front, there are quite a few on the market now.

My attention at present tho is to resolve my blown shock issue.

Take care everyone,

rocmoc n AZ/Mexico

Has anyone thought about putting dual shocks on each side?

Cinda

Replaced my blown shock and disassembled it. Not a bit of oil left in it, pumped it up with air and it all leaked out within 30 seconds. Not a bit of dampening in it either, just the resistance of the blown seals.

The Shock

Shaft size 0.865 Micrometer

Body size 2.00 Micrometer

Stroke 4.25 Tape measure

Center to Center 17 7/8' collapsed 22 1/8" extended Tape measure Corrected 9-2-08

The Spring

Length 14 7/8 Tape measure

Coil Size 1/2 Tape measure

Coil O. D. 3 3/8 Tape measure

Coil I. D. 2 1/2 Tape measure

16 coils

IT WOULD BE MY BET THAT A SLIGHTLY SHORTER (FOR TOPPING OUT) WOULD BE GOOD, PLUS, ONE WITH A BIT MORE TRAVEL WOULD BE VERY GOOD. JUST MY OPINION.

I had this on that other trooper hostile site

As with any forum you join, there is a requirement for an obligatory introduction... and that seems fair. How else do you get that first post in there without jumping in with some stupid question right out of nowhere?

Hi. I'm Space Ghost. Well, not really, but that was my call sign on my last deployment before an IED made me non-deployable, and I an now retired/disabled, and living on my wonderful VA disability. I did almost 28 years in total between the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. 1 deployment with the Reserve (Desert Storm) and 3 with the Guard (1 pre, and 2 post 9/11)

Married (going on 30 years) one of each. (both out of the nest)

Just picked up my first side by side a couple days ago. A 2020 Can-Am Defender HD10 DPS 6x6.

It's in pretty good shape, but as you can probably tell, it's sitting a bit high. Former owner put a lifting collar on the shocks.

The good = almost 17" of ground clearance. (30" tires)
The bad = incredibly steep driveline angles, and a pretty stiff ride.

      They will be coming off.

Other than that... clean as a pin and appears very well maintained.

Looking forward to seeing what this forum can bring, and hoping I can bring something in return.

      Hello All...
Just bought a 2014 Massimo 500 UTV.  It;s not running at the moment, but hopefully will soon.  I need a seat for it also (passenger side, if it makes any difference.)  It is a crank-but no start situation.  Just now starting to read the boards for solutions.  Apparently these models are well known for this issue.  If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

Recently purchased 2nd hand not going Crossfire GT400 (Australian branded name?) 2020 model.  Has some issues what would be the best forum to pose questions.
      Thanks

I have a Coleman HS400UTV-5 got it manly for hunting and spending time with the grandkids
The one problem I am trying to avoid. My son borrowed it last summer and said it ran hot so he added water to it . I do not know how much he put in so I would like to drain most of it and add new coolant to protect it this winter. I can find no drain cock or any way of draining it besides loosening a hose.  Any suggestions ????
