Utah Areas where I ride

Recommended Posts

 I live in central Utah county, Utah, and I love the trails around Currant Creek and recently found some south of Strawberry reservoir and plan to do some more exploring in that area. I've been the Paiute trials and I need to do some exploring there also, and we have the Little Sahara Dunes by Delta.

I have my photos posted at http://community.webshots.com/user/kinarfi

I didnt know that you could get UTV's in that area. I'll have to try it one day and see what its like. Are the trails wide?

I assume your talking about Currant Creek, there are some beautiful trails up there and some closed to atv road also, I got my trooper licensed and plan to go up there several time this year. It's just beautiful and green and cool and mountains, but you need to respect the land so we don't get the boot.

If you ride the Paiute Trail be sure and have the Paiute Trail map, some trails don't say no UTV's but they are closed. Even if there are no signs you are responsible to know if they are open to UTV and or ATV use before going on them. If you are caught on a closed trail you can be ticketed. Just FYI. We found out last year about that little known fact, luckily we didn't get a ticket.

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.

      Hi
i have a 2019 Coleman 550 Outfitter.  The tail gate has a pin on each side, that snaps into latch blocks that are mounted on the inside of the tail gate opening.  There are two M6x16 pan head screws(bolts?) that hold the latch blocks in place.  The screws enter from inside the bed body, and I can’t figure out how to access them.  This is right by the tail light assemblies.  I tried taking a pan head screw out of the fender lip, but found out there is not a nut firmly inplace, to hold the pan head screw in.  Bottom line I’m making it worse.
coleman was no help.  If I could figure out how they attached the tail light, then maybe I could put the latch screws in through the tail light hole.  Any ideas?

      thanks

I could really use some help identifying some disconnected components on a Yard Sport YS400. The first part is this pipe, which comes out of the exhaust port area or the cylinder. It looks like it had a piece of rubber hose on it, but the hose is gone, and I have no idea what it was previously connected to.

The second item is this vacuum valve looking thing.  Again only one line is still attached.  What is it's function and what other lines should be connected to it?

The last thing is this hose, which exits the side top of the fuel tank (not the fuel line hose) but is not connected to anything

Any help the community could provide would be greatly appreciated.  This UTV belongs to a friend, and I am trying to help him get it running correctly for his kids.

I have a 2004 KUBOTA RTV 900 DIESEL and I need to replace both front cv axels.I have been online looking at them and there seems to be a lot of different manufactures to choose from. My question is who makes a good aftermarket set of cv axels for this KUBOTA. I have read horror stories of people buying the  cheap Chinese brand only to find out they don't fit or they don't last very long and fail again. I hate to have to spend over $200 a shaft to get OEM from KUBOTA when I'm sure there is a company out there who probably makes it for them or makes comparable to OEM. Thanks for your help.
