Kawasaki Crankcase gasket.

Would i need to put gasket sealer on my case cover gasket? Some people say yes and some say not really.

Was there sealant on that gasket when it was taken apart? If so then I'd say yes, I'd definitely put gasket sealer on that. And knowing me, I'd do it anyway, just to be safe. After all, what's the downside of adding the sealant vs. not?

Im not sure. First time it has been taken apart since 2001 when it was made. THANKS!

If it were me I would use a thin coat being very careful not to use enough it could break off later and circulate in the engine. I have seen many engines ruined from lawn mowers to race cars due to sloppy work or too much sealer.
