09 Mule drive issues

Hey folks,

Glad I found the forum, seems like some pretty knowledgeable folk in here.  I recently bought a Mule with 860 hours on it from auction and I've noticed a couple small issues I'd like to get some opinions on.

1. When the Mule is heated up, been driving 15-20 minutes, when going uphill, it'll have a really hard time getting out of a "low" gear and when trying to shift upwards, it will make a sound like it's not catching and won't pick up speed.  If you push down on the gas, the noise gets worse, and you're not goin any faster.  I've worked around this by stopping the mule, dropping it in neutral, leaving it running for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then shifting back into drive and it'll go a little ways further before having the issues again.

2. When going from a stop uphill, the entire mule will shudder and shake while moving for the first few seconds, after that, it lets up.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Chris

I have  a bulldog i bought from home depot in 2013.  In the last season it started refusing to shift from neutral to either forward or reverse.  I changed the trans axle fluid and made sure the cables were lubricated and free.  With a lot of coaxing, I can sometimes get it to shift.  once I start driving it, things improve until I let it set awhile.   Any suggestion on where to go from here?

I have a yanmar longhorn 6 seater which I believe is having fuel delivery issues.  It will run off of starter fluid and will sometimes run on gas but will not idle.  Fuel pump is new and verified to put out 56 psi.  Injector is new, I'm reading 10.5 volts at the injector, gas is new.  The unit will run when the engine symbol is not present at the gauges.  Diagnostic port doesn't appear to be present, can't find it where yanmar says it should be.  Oil is full but old.  Any ideas what's going on here?  Is there a maintenance function that will shut this machine down if it has old oil?

MSU 500 does nothing when you turn the key. No power to display, fuel pump or anything. Come back a while later and everything works perfect. Starts right up. Battery is fully charged. Could this be the ignition going bad. When it doesn't power up I've found nothinf that will correct it other then waiting and trying later.

I could really use some help identifying some disconnected components on a Yard Sport YS400. The first part is this pipe, which comes out of the exhaust port area or the cylinder. It looks like it had a piece of rubber hose on it, but the hose is gone, and I have no idea what it was previously connected to.

The second item is this vacuum valve looking thing.  Again only one line is still attached.  What is it's function and what other lines should be connected to it?

The last thing is this hose, which exits the side top of the fuel tank (not the fuel line hose) but is not connected to anything

Any help the community could provide would be greatly appreciated.  This UTV belongs to a friend, and I am trying to help him get it running correctly for his kids.
