 Recently given a 2003 Kawasaki 550 mule.

The previous owner was done with and said it would never run again.

I have rebuilt the wiring harness and solved the not running issue.

? have any of you tried adding an engine oil cooler to this machine.

There are 2 threaded plugs on the filter housing I was wondering if I can tap oil cooler into them.

Hi

I have 01 550, those plugs are for  oil pressure gauges. I have not heard of anyone putting a cooler on it. Does it make any sounds like clicking when trying to start? I'm not saying that i couldn't be done though.

If you need any parts go to kawasakipartshouse.com

I have a repair manual with several trouble shooting pages, if you like i can send some screens shots of them to you.

That sounds like it might be a good idea on an air cooled engine. But I don't know if that would work. If you could fit one of those kits that relocate the oil filter. That might give better flow. I'd carefully document the engine temperature before doing anything. That way you'll know how well it works.

Picked up an essentially new 2022 UT400 with 9 miles on it.  Decided to change the oil because it's probably never been done.  Pulled the dipstick and noticed it was overfull then went and pulled the drain plug and took off the filter and it was like brown water running out.  What should I start checking?

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

I recently purchased a 2024 Hisun 550 Sector from Kreps Service Station and am having issues with the gear selector, I am doing as instructed in the owners manual but the shifter acts like it is binding or the button lock isn't releasing, the shifter will not move, I have to wiggle it back and forth while pushing hard on the brake and if it's in park or reverse it's nearly impossible to get it to move, I contacted Justin Krep and he says this is normal with these machines, I find that hard to believe, I've owned many utvs and side x sides and have never had this kind of issue with any of them, any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased a used 2023 Massimo warrior UTV SxS 1000mx with 600 miles on it. I didn't even get a full day of riding and the driver's side rear axle broke. I'm pretty sure it was already going bad because we would hear a noise once in a while. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with theirs. Also looking for places to buy accessories.

Does anyone have any suggestions for aftermarket shocks.  I have a T-Boss 550 and took it riding in some rough trails and the stock suspension was uncomfortably rough.
      Thanks
