I have a Hisun 400 UTV that has developed a sneaky oil leak from the end of the black plastic thing protruding from the side of what I think is the transmission on the driver’s side. Looking for any guidance or advice as to what this thing is and whether it’s fixable.

Apparently at some time it was the speed sensor--I found this part on AliExpress (who I wouldn't buy from if they were the last vendor on earth):

However on newer models like my 2020 and apparently the OP's 2012 the active speed sensor is on the rear reducer and there's that crappy plastic cover on the crankcase.

I think on the 2012 the reducer mounts with the "flat" side on the right and the sensor is on the left--don't know when or why it was "flipped", but it seems to coincide with the engine being changed to the rear slanting cylinder.

a 2020 model from Coleman's site:

yup--an undated, I think pre-2018 HS400:

I'd pull the plug out, make sure it's intact, clean it well and put it back together with a good dose of Permatex's Ultra-Grey gasket maker (best I've ever used--the crankcae on my 2003 Suzi Burgman 400 was reassembled with that 5 years and 26k  miles ago) --if it is cracked use some of JB Weld' high temp stuff to fix it:

Belt started slipping when I used it in high gear. It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing. Has anyone experienced this? Belt looks fine. Only have 300 miles on this thing..

Picked up an essentially new 2022 UT400 with 9 miles on it.  Decided to change the oil because it's probably never been done.  Pulled the dipstick and noticed it was overfull then went and pulled the drain plug and took off the filter and it was like brown water running out.  What should I start checking?

I recently purchased a 2024 Hisun 550 Sector from Kreps Service Station and am having issues with the gear selector, I am doing as instructed in the owners manual but the shifter acts like it is binding or the button lock isn't releasing, the shifter will not move, I have to wiggle it back and forth while pushing hard on the brake and if it's in park or reverse it's nearly impossible to get it to move, I contacted Justin Krep and he says this is normal with these machines, I find that hard to believe, I've owned many utvs and side x sides and have never had this kind of issue with any of them, any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Coleman UTV 400 and looking for something to store it in.  Preferably something vinyl or plastic with its own base that can stand alone outside and house the UTV.  I think the dimensions of the UT400 are around 106" long 52" wide and 74" tall.
What should I consider that won't break the bank?

As I tried to do a conversion with the Yamaha 660 motor, I realized the 660 was never fuel injected so it would not work for the fuel injected hisun motor swap. But the good thing is the hisun 750 motor is a clone of the 660 Yamaha but with the components for the fuel injection (cam/crank position sensor). So that left me with a new rebuilt Yamaha 660 and still a broke 750 hisun motor. I took apart 750 think the timing chain had broke from all that I've heard about these motors. The chain was not broke, but just off cam and crank gears! The chain tensioner was at fault!  I've ordered Yamaha 660 replacement parts, chain, two exhaust valves (which got bent when chain came off while motor was spinning) and seals. The piston has 2 little nicks where it had hit valves but no damage otherwise. The head is being redone at the machine shop and I'll be putting it back together in the next couple of weeks. Also I finally tracked down a Service Manual with all the info on the 550/750 Challenger.
