Joyner Renegade

I know this is the Trooper catagory, but since there is not one for the Renegade, I thought I would add it here. Maybe we could get a Renegade catagory.

The Renegade seems to have the same rear drivline issues as the Trooper. Joyner does have the upgraded CV style for them. The shaft is about an inch shorter than the Trooper's. I highly suggest you replace yours if you haven't already. Thanks A.

Yes it is fine for you to post here. You are welcome to be part of the team.

Did Joyner acknowledge the problem and say they were going to upgrade? They did step up and take care of the Trooper issue, I can't imagine they wouldn't do the same for you.

Oh yeah, they acknowledged it after the failure. Wish they had let me know before my customers had problems, but that's not how they operate. They did pony up parts for all that I have sold though. Just wanted to let everyone else know. A.

Thanks Tim, I've just received the Trooper rear drivelines so my wait will be the longest again, but worth it. How many miles was on the clock before the failure occurred?

Cheers Mike.

This was the first failure for any of my Renegades. Most have several hundred miles, "no failure". This particular machine had 80 mi. Was owned by a survey company, bought it friday, came in the next tues. They destroyed the front drive train trying to get it out. They twisted one of the front drive axles completely off. Not normal useage. A.

Good afternoon. When the timing chain came off its lower gear (previous owner had over-tightened the tensioner), I ordered new parts.. chain, oil-pump chain, tensioner etc.. But now that it's time to put it back together, the main crankshaft makes a clang noise and stops when you turn it by hand. I want to solve this before assembling everything. The camshaft cover is off so that the valves aren't being activated. Should the transmission be in neutral to turn the crankshaft? The engine was running fine until the chain came off the lower gear. Then it would spin when the starter motor engaged so I assumed the crankshaft was spinning. Any advice is appreciated.

When we first heard the noise, we immediately stopped driving it...at first we thought it might be a linkage issue, but after further inspection looks like the sound/jolting is coming from the rear diff. Took a video below...
Anyone know what is creating the diff to skip/jump like this? We drained the diff oil and didn't look terrible, no metal.
Other info that may be useful:
      1400 miles on it
      Recently tightened the E brake
P.s. never posted on this forum before, let me know if the video does not work

Apparently, these are Hisun or at least they use Hisun engines. I can't find much info on them online yet.  Ran across a used one with just 100 miles on it as a very reasonable price.  Just curious.
Okay, more info...they are owned by Textron Corp who also owns Bell Helicopter, Cessna & Beechcraft aircraft, Ez-Go & Cushman and Arctic Cat and a bunch of other companies.
So are thy cheap Chinese crap machines or are they good to go?

I have a yanmar longhorn 6 seater which I believe is having fuel delivery issues.  It will run off of starter fluid and will sometimes run on gas but will not idle.  Fuel pump is new and verified to put out 56 psi.  Injector is new, I'm reading 10.5 volts at the injector, gas is new.  The unit will run when the engine symbol is not present at the gauges.  Diagnostic port doesn't appear to be present, can't find it where yanmar says it should be.  Oil is full but old.  Any ideas what's going on here?  Is there a maintenance function that will shut this machine down if it has old oil?
