That's good. The shift lever switch should be OK.

I would now be looking at at a bad ground for the light, or wiring harness damage that would allow +12 to appear on the ground side of the light when the main switch is on. Trouble is that the schematic doesn't have a detail of the meter showing where the Neutral light gets it's signal.

Is this a HISUN or LINHAI unit? The only service data I have is for the LINHAI chassis.

OK, now I see it. I presume that the light stays off when the shifter is in Neutral and the engine has started.

With the limited service data available and not having opened one up, my best guess is a defective meter head. Without a detailed schematic of the speedometer module, the source of the signal for the light is unknown. The service manual only has a wiring diagram which does not show an external source for the light.

What you are seeing is a condition where all indicators are lit as part of the power on self test, but the Neutral light is normally inhibited during this process if the shift lever switch is out of the neutral position.

Sorry.

3 hours ago, that guy from Canada said:

The system is lighting the neutral indicator as system check.

The neutral sensor is not working or bad wires, locate it either in shifter or on transmission and simply jump the switch connector to check light.

If light works sensor if light doesn't work, wiring or ground problem.

I wish it were that easy, but I don't believe you are correct.

If you look back through the thread, I asked if the gear indicator display on the speedo head was working correctly and he said that it was. This verifies that the proper signal is being received by the speedo head from the gearshift lever position switch. If you also look at the posted video, you clearly see the "N" for neutral being displayed even after the POST (power-on, self test) has completed. The fact that the light goes out after the POST with the "N" displayed points to a defect in the speedo head logic, rather than a grounding issue. I could be wrong, but that is where the diagnostic path takes us.

IMHO this really is a minor point, since the light is pretty much redundant. I have the same speedo on my TB550F and I rarely even notice it.

Hello, we recently got a 2013 Hisun 800 as a little project for my husband and I to work on. Turns out the guys before us loved the mud anyway. We have replaced the stator and now going to do the Rectifier but here is the hold up as seen in the picture. There are tons of wires going to the battery. I cant seem to find anything that shows what wires should, or shouldn't be attached to the battery or where these 2 plugs go. if someone would please take some pics or share knowledge to where they go I would appreciate it greatly.

I'm thinking of buying a snow blade for my Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun with Coleman stickers).
Has anyone purchased a snow blade that can offer the make and model they bought and any comments, pros  cons etc.?
Not 100% sure I'm going to buy, as the selection of blades for this model seems a bit thin on line.
      Thoughts and comments welcomed.
      Thanks in advance.

      Hi
I have a 2022 hisun sector eps 550. 30amp fuse is blown for eps. Checked the motor and it’s fine. Opened up the controller and found a bad diode. Dealer wanted 500$ for the controller. Just posting this in case it helps someone. I couldn’t read numbers from the old one so just took a guess and replaced it with a 100v 3amp diode.

I just picked up this project that I was told would crank, but not start.  This is what I’ve figured out so far….
I installed a new battery and get all dash lights, head lights, and brake lights on when turning the ignition on.  Fuel pump even turns on.  It does not crank with the key, but would when I jumped the starter solenoid, so I replaced it…..no change.
Figured I’d check for spark and compression while I was dorking around.  Compression is 150 psi, but there is no spark.  Replaced the spark plug… no change.
So, is my new starter solenoid bad?  Could it be the brake or gear position switches even though the brakes and neutral lights come on?  Not sure where to go from here.

I have 31 miles on my new T-Boss 550. In order to start I put in nentural and the emerage brake on and push down on brake paddle, then trun ket and get nothing, with key still on I shift to reverase and the back to netural and it starts.  Anyone know what is happening.
      Thanks for your help
