Snow Blade for Coleman Outfitter 550?

I'm thinking of buying a snow blade for my Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun with Coleman stickers).

Has anyone purchased a snow blade that can offer the make and model they bought and any comments, pros  cons etc.?

Not 100% sure I'm going to buy, as the selection of blades for this model seems a bit thin on line.

Thoughts and comments welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this would be an option for your 550: I'm using a 72" KFI plow on my Hisun Sector 750 - works well. Driveway is 350'+ x 12'. One pass down the middle and then one on either side. (photo is UTV with plow at the dealer's - was delivered that way). Note - need to manually adjust plow angle.

That's a great photo, thanks for posting it.   KFI seems to be one of the few suppliers of plows fitting the Hisun line of UTVs.  Your 750 looks to utilize the same frame/body as my 550.

Now I just have to get over the cost thing.

Got almost the same machine and set up. Bought mine in Peterborough ON.. but the engine and tranny I am not too happy with..

It does the job to plow  but I can't go over 15mph without hearing the engine roar..  tranny is terrible especially hitting LOW

Welcome to the site H Loc.

Could you elaborate on the engine and tranny issues a little?  Slipping, grinding etc???

when I fire it up the check engine light comes on and idling feels like engines gonna die then check engine light disappears and idles fine.. its extremely loud which apparently is normal

then I press the gas it revs really loud to about 3000rpms and that's when i don't wanna go quicker then 15mph   i really wanted to go faster

the tranny sometimes doesn't engage.. especially when I want to go to LOW..  usually I have to make sure it engages to HIGH first then switch to low..  sometimes the gear is just hard to move..  maybe bc wheels are turned too much   idk..

but this week I will take some videos  not sure if I can upload them

I have  a 550 and the gear shifter is a stiff, often difficult thing to use.  There is a trick to getting it into low without it popping out of gear when you give it gas.

My "LOW" is all the up on the shift knob.  I saw a Hisun dealer video that said to keep upward pressure on the shifter with your hand as you slowly give it gas to move forward.  There will be an almost imperceptible "click" when it starts to move.   Mine does this 7 or 8 times out of 10 and as long as it does that last tiny click, it won't pop out of gear. I operate on some very steep inclines so I have to be sure the low range IS engaged.

I think the check engine lamp is also the oil pressure monitor but I could be wrong.   I always wait the few seconds until the check engine lamp goes out to shift into gear and move.

My 550 does exactly the same on start up.  I found that if you turn the key on, and wait a couple of seconds for the fuel pump to get up to pressure and stop before cranking to start, it usually will not try to die out when it does start, or lessens that.    Sort of guessing that the injector may be slightly starved for fuel while the pump gets up to pressure.  Once there, no problem.

Lastly, these like premium gas.  They will run on 87 octane but prefer higher. Also look to be sure your machine has an in line fuel filter.  Some were shipped without them causing early injector failure.  Those don't like any dirt at all.

I appreciate this insight.. Helps a lot.. Now I feel I am not the only one experiencing these symptoms

How fast have you pushed your machine  over 25mph yet?  I don't dare has the engine revvs so loud  feels like I might blow the engine

I seldom have a reason to go over 20 to 25 mph but I think it is capable if I wanted to.  I think the 550 tops out around 40 to 45 in high, but I haven't really tried that. Most of my property is on hillsides so I only use low range, it has plenty of speed for the 1/8 mile trip down our dirt road to my barn.  It does get a little loud even at 20-25 mph, but not alarmingly so. Its just the engine revs. It should be smooth.  Can you tell if this is exhaust noise or is it noise from something internal to the engine or trans. Maybe remove the dump bed and have a buddy listen out the back window to see if he can spot where that alarming noise is coming from.  Also note at which RPMs the noise increases more that you'd expect for the given RPMs.

Do you have any other issues with engine, like hard starting, or backfiring?  Or how about transmission or belt slippage?   Also is it the same loudness when in high range?

Be sure engine and trans mounts are all secure. Check to be sure nothing on the body is touching the engine and maybe magnifying the noise at higher RPMs.

Well yesterday I went and ordered a KFI 60" blade and mount for my Hisun 550 with the Coleman Outfitter stickers.   Now that winter is just winding down, maybe I can get one more push out of it if it arrives in the next week.   Thought I'd try to save my JD Garden Tractor for fall leaf clean ups which it is great at.

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

We see a lot of the UT400 with shift problems, not going into gear, popping out of gear, grinding etc. There  is a bulletin Im sure everyone has saw about adjusting shift cable.  That dont always fix it.  I went round n round with coleman  on couple units. We are a Coleman warranty repair center"AFS Small Engine Repair "   I told them shift lever does not have enough travel .  No amount of cable adjustment  will increase travel . I  extended lever with piece on flat  iron by 3/4 of inch .  This gave shifter enough travel to properly engage into gear completely .  Last couple units to come in for this Coleman sent me a modified shift lever, with longer travel . Problem solved! Also , heads up if you get any new unit ,,,go over and check it out,  grease  all zerks, check air filter for being in backwards, check wiring harnesses for rubbing on rotating parts,  brake hose  routing , make sure not touching exhaust .  These are just  few of the more common failures I see .

My buddy has a ut400 that the forward gear keeps popping out of gear. She only has like 400 miles on the odometer .the shift cable has been adjusted and the shift lever has been updated / modified. All other gears are good. Is there an internal detent cam or something that wears out or shift fork that can be replaced ? Or is there some other magic that I can perform ? Looks like the engine needs to be split.

When we first heard the noise, we immediately stopped driving it...at first we thought it might be a linkage issue, but after further inspection looks like the sound/jolting is coming from the rear diff. Took a video below...
Anyone know what is creating the diff to skip/jump like this? We drained the diff oil and didn't look terrible, no metal.
Other info that may be useful:
      1400 miles on it
      Recently tightened the E brake
P.s. never posted on this forum before, let me know if the video does not work
