Our new Sector E1 electric has 45 miles on the odo.  It frequently goes into shutdown mode after a few minutes of putzing around the farm. Instrument panel gives a flashing message “45C”. I presume that this means the batteries are overheated. The temperature indicator is maxxed. No stunt driving involved, just the grandkids bumping along in low range across the pasture. Of course, the owners manual does not reference this condition. We park it for a while and it returns to normal; at least until the next overheat. Has anyone else been bothered by this?

Unfortunately, the “45c” code is just part of the code. There are actually several different 45c codes.  these codes are listed as they are shown in the owners manual. If you have the complete code, we can help you further.

I thought it might be a trouble code. I checked the long list of codes in my manual but I was only looking for 45C. Is there a place where I might find the complete code for redlining the battery temp? Thanks

I have the same thing happen on my hisun electric. The code is 45C 3 for “low battery cut”. Has anyone found out why this might be happening? Could it have anything to do with something getting wet? We just putz around our farm as well and it seems to happen way too quick and often.

All batteries indicate 6.3 or 6.4 volts. The 45C3 code seems to happen less when operating in “M” mode. Better throttle control as well. I remain unsatisfied with the frequency of the “low volte cut” error code but appreciate the comments.

Thanks. I’ve been trying but COVID has destroyed his two man service shop. I have spoken to HiSun and they won’t release any specs so my electrical engineer son can try to run the problem down. We are pretty well stuck, literally, when the dreaded error code pops up on the panel.

Gorj, thanks again for the diagrams. I finally got the 12 volt battery checked; fully charged. So, I think it may be solenoid or actuator problem. I'll get it on stands for wheel removal asap. Cheers.

Hisun still keeps them close to the vest. GORJ posted a diagram above. It helped me a bit in troubleshooting. It did not reveal the problem. My issue was a failed battery pack that the onboard software did not detect. After a friendly call from my legal department, Hisun looked closer at the problem. Mr Sun sent in his troubleshooter, Jamie Cheek ( 214 542-3760) who fired several “engineers” at the Texas plant ( hard to believe the emails those guys sent to me and my dealer), and sent my dealer a fresh battery pack and software update. The machine has been flawless since. It was a five month ordeal.

Ours is a 2019 model, but discovered to have been built in 2017. So the battery pack might have been dead before it got sold. The software upgrade was not specced, but we notice several subtle differences in the panel interface. All are big improvements. I hope your issues are resolved quickly. It really is a capable machine.

I know this is an old thread now, but we have a new 2022 Sector E1 with these same problems. Our dealer is helping with a case with Hisun, but wanted to post here to let folks know that it might still occur. We live in a hilly community in NC, and the big hills slow it down and throw the 45C3 and then 4603 errors, and the unit overheats and stops. After cooling a bit, we can go a few hundred yards or so before it overheats again, and we repeat a few times to get home. Frustrating for sure. Hopefully our dealer and Hisun will come through and get things going better.

      I recently purchased a 2024 Hisun 550 Sector from Kreps Service Station and am having issues with the gear selector, I am doing as instructed in the owners manual but the shifter acts like it is binding or the button lock isn't releasing, the shifter will not move, I have to wiggle it back and forth while pushing hard on the brake and if it's in park or reverse it's nearly impossible to get it to move, I contacted Justin Krep and he says this is normal with these machines, I find that hard to believe, I've owned many utvs and side x sides and have never had this kind of issue with any of them, any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

      Any advice welcome & I am on a limited budget, so haven't decided yet on new or used.

      I just purchased a used 2023 Massimo warrior UTV SxS 1000mx with 600 miles on it. I didn't even get a full day of riding and the driver's side rear axle broke. I'm pretty sure it was already going bad because we would hear a noise once in a while. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with theirs. Also looking for places to buy accessories.

      I have a 2022 hisun sector eps 550. 30amp fuse is blown for eps. Checked the motor and it’s fine. Opened up the controller and found a bad diode. Dealer wanted 500$ for the controller. Just posting this in case it helps someone. I couldn’t read numbers from the old one so just took a guess and replaced it with a 100v 3amp diode.
