Well all. I figured out the hesitation/running issue. You won't believe it but the roll cage is full of mud! I removed the hose from the air box and all good. Now another issue.  On my second starter. They last a few days and then just start clicking from the solenoid.  Sometime if you hit the key a few quick turns it will spin. It always turns by jumping the igniter wire. Continuity is good on that wire as well. Thanks for any help.

My starter did that several years ago, just replaced it and that fixed it.

Im not sure what the igniter wire is, my 550 dont have a igniter.

i wonder if something is wrong with your ignition switch?

are you using OEM starters or cheaper starters?

another thing i would check is to rule out the neutral safety switch is while having the key in the start position, wiggle the gear shift back and forth a bit, since the safety switch interrupts  power to the starter.

 Battery good?

Hey Travis...yes you sometimes get it to start by moving the redshift back and forth...i took the switch out of transaxle and it's a spring loaded type plunger..looked ok to me. .only 1 wire to it...can you explain how it works? Thx!

I honestly can't explain how it works, I probably could If I have tore into the trans  and watched how it works but haven't. It has something to do with that plunger making contact with something inside the trans and interrupting power supply

What did the tip of your switch look like? Was it perfectly round, or showed wear?

Also check and clean battery ground cable where it goes to the frame.

could be a faulty solenoid. When it does not start tap the solenoid with a hammer and if it starts you know what to replace.

Yep, I had to do that to my Mule before

It was the neutral safety switch--I grounded it and now cranks every time---I'm working on my mule 1000-replaced the water cooled blown engine with a 407 cc duramax I had--runs great waiting on a new accelerator cable---have a question for someone--I pulled the engine block off the transaxle and plated it with a home made piece of aluminum--does anyone know how the oil pump in the  transaxle is driven--is it by then engine or??  I did refill the required 3.8 quarts of oil--I just want to make sure the gearbox gets enough lubrication--thanks!

I'll try to explain it in words; pictures would be better.  Here goes:

You have 12vdc from the battery to the starter solenoid at all times.  When you activate the ignition switch to the start position, it provides a ground path from the solenoid through the ignition switch onward to the neutral safety switch.  The neutral safety switch provides the final round connection when the transmission is in neutral.  The "igniter" wire is the ground connection that goes to the ignition switch.

      Will NOT START
MY apologies if this is to much info just wanted to give yal the most information possible for help.
I'm a so called diyer. An Electrician by trade 21yrs. I got my S×S from my last job. The contractor purchased this S×S for this specific job brand new, from Lowes. They used it for hauling materials, tools, & a little bit of anything you can think of on an Industrial type job site.
I remember getting on the SxS one time & pushed the gas petal all the way to the floor & SxS had very little power.
So anyway ,when the job finished up back mid July this year (7/2024) , I asked the contractor what they was going to do with it. I was told to take it. Otherwise it would go to the contractors yard (storage yard) & most likely rust away.
Took it home washed it , it had a heavy coat of dust on it & in it dust was every where. My helper & I had to push it on the trailer to get it home.  After washing it throughly I let it sit & dry out for a good day and half, maybe 2 days. Before trying to start it. NO START. Will turn over & try to start but thats it.
So here's what I've purchased & installed. New Air Filter, new spark plug, new air idle control valve (AICV), new throttle position sensor, new throttle body, new oxygen sensor, new digital dash speedometer/fuel gauge/clock.
Also drained the old oil & gas & replaced with new oil & 93oct. gas. I should probably mention that I've changed the AICV twice. The 1st time I changed the AICV I was able to get the SxS started & let idle for at least 10-15min. Drove out of the garage, with very little power,  turned it around & barely got it back in the garage. That was the one & only time I've been able to start the SxS. I've also cleaned the Throttle Body and & intake with TB cleaner.  So after that the AICV was  making weird noise so I pulled it out & tried cleaning it, pretty sure I messed it up. So I purchased a Throttle Body that came with new AICV & TPS. Still NO START.  I've checked the fuel pump & the fuel injector.  I took the injector off still hooked up to wiring & turned the key over, the injector sprayed a lot of gas out kinda the size of a volleyball. I've also checked the clearance gap on the intake & exhaust valve. But today 11/2/2024 I'm going recheck spark plug gap & the valve gaps. And alot of other checking. Would the driver side seat belt have anything to do with it not starting?? I know the driver side seat belt has to be in gauged for full throttle "going fast". Thing is the drv. side seat belt will latch but feels like might be messed up inside of it. Tired opening it up but to no avail.  I've never had a S×S or 4wheeler so I was really excited when I got the S×S,not so much anymore.  I work on & fix my own vehicles usually no problems.  But this SxS is kicking my ass.
So if possible & someone could help me with some ideas or tell me what Im doing wrong or did wrong, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for reading thus far.

      Greetings,
I have a client that wants me to install a heater of some sort to aid in cold weather starting (she uses it at her business, has had issues starting the last few days in sub-zero). I would prefer a coolant heater to a pan heater (silicone pad), but I cant for the life of me find the diameter of the coolant hoses. Heck, I'm not even sure if it would work as well in this application given how long the hose is compared to tractors and trucks I have installed them in.
Any advice you could give me would be GREATLY appreciated.
