Massimo 500 will only crank when I jump solenoid with screwdriver cranks right up and runs great. But won’t start with key doesn’t do anything when I turn the key. Only thing it does is power everything as in dash and fuel pump then have to jump solenoid to crank up and drive.

My T-boss 410 does the same thing, but intermittently. Mine is probably a loose wire at the starter. Or the starter relay. I haven't checked mine yet, but let me know if I have helped!

Yeah I checked all that. Can’t be loose because it fires right up when jumping the solenoid. Gonna mess with it more today after work. Will let you know if I find anything

I was thinking that when I had a buddy turn over the key and my power probe hooked to my solenoid its taking power away... so I don’t know if the points are bad in the ignition switch or my solenoid is bad? I have a solenoid on order I’ll change that if that don’t fix it then I’ll order a ignition switch.

No. I changed the ignition and solenoid with starter relay. Still nothing ended up going to auto parts store and buying a push button ran it straight to the solenoid so all I have to do is turn key on for fuel pump and all electrical stuff then push button and fires right up. Easy to do and now I don’t have a headache. Got tired of throwing money at it.

Does that mean it was most likely the starter switch? Kinda sounds like you narrowed it down to that, given that everything else functioned properly after you installed the new starter button.

It could be or it’s something in that stupid fuse box design where one of the relays are bad that you can’t replace you have to buy the whole box for $100 could be one of the  relays not allowing the ignition to work properly. So that’s why I just ended up putting the button on it. Still have to have the key to start so it will do for me.

On your solenoid you have a positive and negative run wire from each to a two prong push button once you do that and aslong as you don’t have a bad battery a your solenoid is good it will fire right up I attached a picture of a drawing that explains.

Thanks much! Mine is intermittent, but if I can't track down the issue, I just may install your fix.

Is the ignition switch only available through the dealership? If it's a poor design, I would prefer to go with an aftermarket switch. I don't know how to cross reference the switch, or I would go that route.

Initially, I was impressed by the detail that went into the manufacturing of the Massimo. But I may be premature about that, if in fact they have used cheap parts. Assuming that my model is different than yours, where is your ignition switch located?

I have the exact same problem with a 2018 Odes Dominator 1000 cc. I still haven't found the cause of the problem. I "fixed" it by running a wire from the solenoid "I" terminal (the small terminal that is NOT connected to the ignition switch) to the frame. It now always starts instantly without waiting for the pump to do its thing first. The problem is solved but I still want to know what's causing it, if someone knows.

I have a 2018  Massimo t-boss 550 it's not getting power to the injector but my key switch is not working could that be the problem?

Yes. It took a long time to get there. I tried to fix it by changing many parts that did not need to be changed: starter solenoid, battery, ignition switch, ignition button, starter.
I read somewhere that a bad ground could cause many such problems. I looked until I found the loose ground. It was staring at me the whole time near the center of the passenger side of the engine.

I bypassed my ignition switch and went to the solenoid connector. I ran a wire from my positive side of my battery to the push button switch, and from the other side of switch to the red/yellow wire of solenoid. I took the green wire from solenoid to frame ground.

But I will check for a loss ground on the side of engine.

I have a 2021 Massimo T-Boss 410 and it needs the cv boots replaced.  Has anyone had to replace the boots on their T-Boss?  Does anyone know where to get replacement boots?  Are there boots for other ATV/UTVs that will fit?  The Massimo parts site only sells the entire axles.  Thanks

Hi I'm about to order parts to do a bunch of work on my Massimo. Does anyone know if there's a difference in the top end kit {piston, Cylinder, Rings, Gaskets, Piston Pin} if it has a carb or EFI? I'm EFI and I think some came with a carb so I thought i'd ask before making a mistake...
      Thanks Jerr

hi everyone i have this 2021 Hisun forge 250 that won't start. no spark no fuel.   when i turn the key on i dont hear the relays click or fuel pump come on. it does have power but the relay doesnt ground the pump or the ignition coil. dont know if there are any safety switches on this model or not.  it does crank and all the accessories work. i  hot wired the pump and it does work.  i found a wiring diagram but it's very hard to figure out and was hoping someone has seen this before. all fuses are good. thanks in advance.

Hello, I have a 2013 500 utv hisun. Was running ok and cut out while parked. Bike will not start now. It turns over, but won't fire. I have no spark and no fuel. I replaced fuel pump, ignition coil, spark plug, cdi, voltage rectifier and all the fuses and relays. Could bad stater cause no fuel because I can't hear the fuel pump priming. Any info on where to start looking for problem.
